Jon Stevenson's Online Review Report Card

I was there for an angiogram. He was going to use my wrist but didn’t like it, so he went in through the groin. I had nothing to numb the area and was in severe pain. I couldn’t get anyones attention to tell them. It was loud, then he asked them to turn up the music. The OR staff was just talking like nobody was on the table. He yelled “Boom” twice while he was fishing in my groin. I can’t believe the amount of pain I was in. Then someone came in & asked how much weight the table could hold because the next one was a 400 lb woman. A young man asked me if I was OK. I said no, that I was in horrible pain. The guy went to tell him & he sent him to do something else. It was one of the worst experiences of my life.

Very good doctor who explains things well. Thorough with all tests and results. Very kind, too.

Unfortunately, Dr. Stevenson was running nearly two hours behind on his appointments. My husband had bypass surgery and was being seen for a follow-up but was tired after waiting for an hour and we left without seeing the doctor. I, too, started using this doctor and thought I'd recommend him to several friends but plan to find another doctor. On my first visit I was not taken in on time and waited over an hour. Should have taken this as a sign and left, too.

My husband had bypass surgery and Dr. Stevenson, being his cardiologist, was to do the follow-up appointment.  We arrived early for our 2 pm appointment and were checked in and told we would be called soon.  At 2:30 I asked if the doctor was running behind as we were past our appointment time and we were told that he was currently seeing his 1 pm appointment and it might be at least another hour before he saw us.  I asked why they didn't phone their patients and let them know he was running behind but the receptionist said they didn't ever do that and that Dr. Stevenson's patients all know that he often runs an hour to an hour and a half behind and know they have to wait. This doctor is not a good fit for sick patients who in good faith book appointments and assume that they will be seen on time.  I, too, had an appointment with this doctor and he was late for my appointment by over an hour as well and then seemed totally rushed when he saw me for the first time as a new patient.  He hadn't reviewed my medical files, was hesitant about taking on refilling my prescriptions or even reviewing them until I insisted and asked why I didn't just have my primary care doc do those.  He ordered multiple tests which I did and when I went for the follow-up, again, he was rushed and spent less than 10 minutes with me. I and my husband will keep looking for a cardiologist--one who is on time, has time for patients and pay attention to their health and well-being.

Inconsiderate long wait

Always have to wait 30 mins to over an hour. Very poor scheduling and planning

appears to be too busy.

Dr. Stevenson is an amazing doctor. But his office...always late! A minimum of 30 minutes. If they know he is going to be late consistently, why can't they adjust their schedule. It's not ok to demand we be 15 minutes early and then wait and wait for him to get caught up. They never call to say he is late. They just say oh well he is late. It's ruse and inconsiderate of patient time! But...be sure they will take your money at check in and charge you immediately for a late cancelation on your appointment! If there was another choice that was as good, I would go there instead.

The staff very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Stevenson,great dr. He takes the time to talk to his patients, to bad we move from Chandler to GREEN VALLEY AZ

Hello, I had taken time off from work to see tis doctor. After waiting more than 1 hour and still not being call. I left because my time is get as valuable as his. Doctor sometimes forget that they have a busy and they need to get great customer service. Keeping you customers waiting more than 1 hour is poor customer service. I will NOT give him my business.
