Lashonda Carlton's Online Review Report Card

I am so grateful that I found Dr. Carlton. She made my first pregnancy and delivery more comfortable than I have ever expected. She listens and cares so much. She treated me as if I were her sister and friend. Also she treated me with the up most respect. She is awesome!!

Dr. Carlton is the caring, trusting, kind, extremely knowledgeable and helpful Dr. I LOVE her! I felt she treated me( and my unborn child) as if I were her sister and friend. Also I felt she goes above and beyond and does her best to help me as her patient. She made my first pregnancy and delivery more comfortable than I ever would have expected!!

I never leave reviews but the great work of Dr. Carlton deserves to be told. She goes above and beyond for all of her patients while being attentive and caring. She has helped with the delivery of both of my babies, making sure I am well taken care of in the hospital while being sure my needs are met at MomDoc. She is so sweet and caring, always wanting the very best for her patients. There are times when she is running behind but she is always sure to give each and every patient the care they deserve. She is very well educated and passionate about her job. One of the best OB’s in Arizona!! I’d recommend her to my family and friends any time.

I have seen Dr. Carlton twice. The first time, she was 1 hour late to the appointment. I brought up a concern and rather than discussing the concern itself, she blew it off as a non-option. The second time, I waited 2 hours before complaining to the office manager and leaving. I will not see a physician who is so disrespectful of her patients and their time.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to actually see Dr. Carlton, since I waited in the room for 1 hour after my appointment time and she never came in. When I finally called out to the MA to see how much longer it was going to be she told me "Yeah she always runs late" and said that she would text her and see how much longer it would be. I waited another 15 minutes, no one ever came back to the room so I left. This is unfortunately not my first bad experience at MomDoc so I will be finding a new GYN now.

Worst experience!!! I've been with MOMDOC for 11 years. I've never had a bad experience there until I met Dr Carlton. I went for a hormone check & was horrified at her treatment. She was condescending & incredibly rude. I'm a nurse & she made me feel like the dumbest person on Earth. Instead of actually dealing with my issue at hand, her professional advice was to get 20 minutes of sunshine a day & to see a "real" psychiatrist for a bipolar diagnosis. Not only is that insulting to an NP, but I also don't think psychiatry is Dr Carlton's field of expertise. I left that appointment with NO HELPFUL ADVICE & feeling stupid and upset at how I was treated. I will NEVER be seen by her again.

What a terrible person Dr. Carlton is. I left the office in tears. What's worse is I read the negative reviews and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe people had misjudged her. I regret ever meeting her. She has the terrible bedside manner, very off-putting personality and b berated me the whole time. She did not even introduce herself, much less ask anything about me or address any of my concerns. It took everything not to walk out of my appointment. I was shocked at her lack of compassion and dare I say humanity, people like her shouldn't go to the medical field, she should have stuck to engineering - clearly she hates people and didn't go into medicine because she wants to take care or help them.

Dr. Carlton was rude and condescending. Went in to get help with PPD and she offered zero help or advice and told me a behavioral health specialist would call me instead. Asked short, vague questions that I kept having to ask her to explain for which she then made me feel stupid for not understanding. I’m literally in medical school right now. I know how doctor-patient interaction should be and that was not it. I have never had a worse experience with a physician. I should have heeded the negative reviews about this clinic. There is a reason why MomDoc and Dr. Carlton’s schedules are so open. No one wants to or should see her or go to this clinic.

Dr. Carlton is a strong women who knows the drill. She helping me at the hospital with a procedure and I heard her let her team know what she needed to get the job done. She delegated great. She was professional when talking to me and very through. I was nervous after I saw the reviews before, but she kicks butt. I came out of surgery in pain but she already took care of that for me. I appreciate her time and I look forward to thanking her at my follow up appointment.

RUDE!!! Extremely rude. Treated my husband and I like complete garbage. Very bad attitude. Would never recommend her to anyone!!
