The rating is more for Dr. Champaign's practice than her personally, but she is with a practice that did not return repeated phone calls to schedule a follow up mammograph, even when the messages left included the fact that I was moving out of state. I now am now well overdue for follow up care and cannot recommend using her. Please go to a physician in a practice that doesn't make you feel as if no one cares about you or your health.

When my husband and I arrived Monday at 6 am for my double mastectomy surgery at the surgical center we found out that my surgery had been canceled. Quite a blow after the physical and mental rigor of preparing for surgery. I had tried the previous week to reach Dr. Champagne with no luck. I was told she was out of town. There was The Ironwood triage nurse was available and gave me helpful information about lymph node testing, but I still had three situation-specific questions for the surgeon. I was on the phone most of the day, and by 3 pm frantic as I realized the Ironwood phone system would close down in an hour and I would have the whole weekend to lose sleep thinking about my questions before surgery. How can I trust a surgeon who won't return that many calls? Did she get even get my messages? This is inappropriate and I would think unethical behavior for a physician. This is an indictment of Ironwood Cancer Center as well. Also, I will avoid using Banner Health.

Dr. Champagne is very caring and qualified. She did my mastectomy more than a year ago and has been following me post op.

Horrible bedside manner. Made a bad experience worse. Would not recommend Champange or Ironwood to anyone dealing with such a life changing health matter.

I would recommend Dr. Champagne to everyone! Excellent bedside manner, explained everything thoroughly and took her time with everything she did. I ended up having a nipple biopsy and now that I have healed you would never know anything had ever happened. If you need surgery she is doctor to see for sure!
