List of Rosemary J Geary Md's Reviews
Very welcoming office. Dr. Geary and her nurse were very competent and reassuring. I had three samples removed.
Dr Geary is very thorough with skin exams and always answers all my questions. Procedures go smoothly with good outcomes. I would refer anyone to Dr Geary.
Office is pleasant and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I am extremely satisfied with the care I am getting from Dr. Geary. I wish I had been going to her sooner.
Dr. Geary is amazing. She saved my life!!!! I went in for an annual skin exam (because i have a lot of moles and was told when I was about 20 that I need to watch out for skin cancer). Dr Geary identified something suspicious on my back and removed it for biopsy. The test results came back to her that it was melanoma (the fastest growing type of skin cancer) and she immediately called me to let me know. She caught it so early it had not spread. Otherwise I could have died. Thanks Dr Geary! :)
Dr. Geary is a very thorough doctor, and in my opion, among the elite in the field. She diagnosed my skin cancer which was missed by my prior doctor. I have highly recommended her to my family and friends.
Dr Geary is ok, but her office staff is terrible. I clarified my type of insurance and how it would cover the costs of my visit. Shortly after my procedure they claimed that I mislead them and billed myself and insurance differently than they said they would, overlapping my insurance fiscal year. Discussing the situation with their office manager turned into an argument and accusations that I didn't know my insurance. Due to their negligence its now in collections and has hit my credit.
Very poor bed side manners. In a hurry and just wanted to get done and out.
It may be true that the other departments are ok, but if you need any help with acne, go see another clinic. I was prescribed accutane about a month ago, and have still not been able to get a prescription filled yet, which I will explain below: Initially, the doctor sent my prescription to an online pharmacy - without ever asking me what my preferred pharmacy would be - that ships directly to your address. While a direct shipment may sound convenient, there are several issues with it. For example, direct shipping means that the pills would have to either sit in either a mailbox or on the front porch of a house for several hours - which is definitely not good for the quality of drugs as they need to be stored at room temperature. After calling their office and getting the prescription sent to my local pharmacy, I found out that the generic prescribed was exorbitantly expensive. I called local pharmacies and was able to find a different generic available for half the cost. I then called the pharmacy's office, and they wanted to schedule a follow up even though I did not take the drug and I informed the receptionist of this. At the check up, upon hearing that I wanted to find a cheaper generic, the doctor tried to offer a different brand - which turned out to be more expensive than the generic I was able to find. But this raises an important issue. The doctor knowingly gave me a generic that she knew would not be the cheapest; what patient would ever prefer to pay for a more expensive version of the same drug? Afterwards, the office said they would send the prescription for the new generic to my local pharmacy. I waited a week and received no call from my pharmacy, so I called my pharmacy to check if they ever received any contact, and they said they did not. I called the office again to ask them to send the prescription to my local pharmacy, and they gave me a call back saying that they had sent it to the local pharmacy. I then called the local pharmacy again and they said they never received any contact from the dermatologists' office. So after a month, I still haven't had my prescription filled, a process that should have taken me 2-3 days at most. I should also add that the whole process was extremely unprofessional, neither my doctor nor the nurses' assistant bothered to explain how the iPledge system worked, and I was never able to speak to an actual person about sending prescription; the line is always "busy" and the only way to ask for a prescription to be sent to a pharmacy is to leave a message.
I have been a patient at this office for several years and am totally satisfied with both Dr. Geary and her staff.
The staff is friendly and efficient. I go for my once a year check-up and they take time to talk about my concerns or questions and I feel confident in their diagnoses.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
