Wonderful doctor with a great staff. He was very attentive and gentle while doing the exam on my hands. I'd seen other doctors before but none of them came close to Dr Mellinger. I feel like I finally found a doctor that could help after a long search. He's the best and I'd highly recommend him. Go see him and you'll understand what I mean.

Dr Mellinger, is quit a unique person. He's one Dr that I finially found after 5 yrs of pain in my left thumb & wrist, that I personally connected to. He's very professional/easy to talk to. He listens. And most of all he gives you options, he's not one of those Drs that treats you like a cattle number LOL OR one that just pushes you to have surgery either. After having multi surgeries my whole life but with the same surgeon (until he retired) it's been hard for me to find a Dr who has the same values as my previous one, but now I have found that trust again in Dr Mellinger. Anyone who is looking for the same should check him out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Where other Hand Surgeon's failed... Dr. Mellinger actually fixed my Carpal Tunnel symptoms in both the right & left wrists! He is the best at what he does!!!

He made sure I would be without pain short of doing surgery. Went over x-rays so I understood what we were looking at. But I do know that surgery going to be an option in the future.

Dr. Mellinger believes in exhausting all avenues prior to surgery. If he can fix it, he will do it before surgery is necessary.

The doctor skipped my appt. with no call from his office until I called the office manager a 1.5 hours after my appt. His staff was the worst I have dealt with, Athena in particular. In several calls never did really listen or hear what I was telling her and misconstrued messages she put in my file. The PA I saw twice and the tests I had determined I needed surgery. The PA explained in detail about the procedure and tried to schedule me on my last visit with her. As I would be down for 7-10 days using my wrist I needed to plan. After I figured out when I could do the surgery I called multiple times to schedule to no avail. Athena kept telling me I had to see the PA again after I had been counseled and diagnosed previously. I mentioned if the doctor needed to see me again, not the PA, I would schedule an appointment. Eventually that appt. was scheduled. He skipped it. I switched doctors. Left hand doesn't know what right is doing and Athena cares not for patient needs. Substandard.
