Athletico Physical Therapy's Online Review Report Card

I don't need your business anyways! That was the attitude of the owner at Athletico. I had gone to Athletico to see about getting therapy for my shoulder which has inflamed arthritis. When I got there the therapist told me I had to put on a mask to go into the main room at which I told her that I would prefer not as I really feel confined wearing one. At this point she got up and went over to talk to a man that must have been the owner. The ironic part of it all is that the whole time I was there this man had been going in and out of his office and walking around the facility without a mask. After the therapist talked to him he proceeded to his office and when he came out he now had a mask on and then went over to where they kept the paper masks and he grabbed one and walked over to me and told me to put it on. I told him I would not and tried to give him my explanation why. After a few exchanges of words he finally says I'm not discussing this any further. "I don't need your business anyway!" were his exact words. And then he says Good luck in finding any place that does not require masks. Well I did have Good luck as the very next place I checked out on my insurance recommendation does not require me to wear a mask and they seem to really want my business.

The Physical therapists Marissa, Marri and Heidi are a very profesional and courteous team that immediately reassured and put me at ease despite the long road that I had to navigate after total knee replacement. Vicky at the front desk always found a way to accomodate my schedule with rightly scheduled appointments. The technical team on duty were efficient in managing the various routines and therapy exercices that needed to be performed.I have no hesitation in highly recommending the Gilbert West office to anyone seeking to quickly, efficiently and painlessly recover from trauma.

I recently had a double hip replacement my orthopedic surgeon recommended Athletico for physical therapy. I highly recommend the Gilbert facility. The staff at Athletico are great they greet you with a smile they constantly ask if you are doing fine during the therapy session. They all have a great sense of humor!! I would like to say thank you very much for the great work you guys do!

I had a knee replacement on June 1st of 2016. In January of 2017 I returned to physical therapy for help with a T-band issue and hamstring issue. I received the best care ever! I wish I had gone here after my knee replacement. The team there is kind, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I walked in there with a lot of pain and by the time my treatment was completed, I was walking with very little pain. I love this place and would highly recommend their services. If I need help again, I know where I'm going!

I recently had physical therapy at the Gilbert location. My review would say they are very expensive, and in my opinion, over charge for everything. Many times when I was there, I'd ask for a statement to see what I owed. Their response was always, "We haven't received anything from the insurance company so we don't know." I (foolishly) trusted them and figured it'd be in by the visit or two. But each time I asked, the answer was the same, " "We haven't received anything from the insurance company so we don't know." There was not even an estimated cost given.Upon receipt of the bill, MANY weeks later, I see why they didn't provide anything billing information. A "Hot/Cold Pack", (which was JUST CUBED ICE IN A PLASTIC BAG), was charged at $35 per "Pack". (They've charged me for more "packs" then I used, but I have to call and dispute them about that.) They seem to charge by the "Exercise", with the "Therapeutic Exercise" line item costing $150 sometimes, and $225 another. (I pretty much did the same exercises each time I went.)In doing the exercise, there was no explanation of what a particular exercise was intended to do, or how it may related to your 'symptom'. There was never any feedback or 'gauge' given to determine if the exercise was doing what was intended for or making any progress toward addressing the 'problem. They charged me $82 for a "PT Re-Evaluation" which was NO MORE THAN FILLING OUT A CHECK LIST like a did when I first arrived. What a joke!!!! I would not recommend Athletico as my first choice in PT places!!! While I have not had PT before, my wife has had it many times before. The charges were NOTHING like this!!!
