List of Catherine Chen Tsai's Reviews
Chen-sai was arrogant and easily offended. I had what I'd describe as uncaring treatment. Her staff was awful as well. Saw her a couple years ago. BAD EXPERIENCE.
While seemingly sweet to your face, I’ve heard her say rude things behind closed doors about not believing my experience. First piece of advice, do not talk about patients right in front of their door and think that they will be clueless enough not to listen. She also rushes through the appointment and is not attentive. She uses outdated medical solutions for her patients. Each medicine she prescribed for me made my symptoms worse.
Dr Chen- Tsai is one of my Top Doctors. She is thorough and caring. She is very knowledable of skin issues. I have a very high degree of confidence in her diagnosis and procedures.
I was basically abused in her office - she gives pain blocking shots way too fast and you feel the whole thing. I know this because I had a small biopsy and also a large mole taken off my leg.She has a temper ,acts insecure if you ask her to please slow down a bit and look more carefully at all your moles. It wouldn't have hurt her at all to make me feel more assured that I got a truly comprehensive body exam. But she just quickly glances and claims you're fine and this is without an exam light too. Didn't even look at the back of my neck where I have other moles. I have lumps or cysts or something on my scalp but she never told me what they were, just that "she's seen larger ones before" after feeling around on my scalp. It's like you have no say as a patient without her getting an attitude, and she wants to really rush EVERYTHING. People deserve better than that when their health is on the line. I still have no idea what's wrong with my scalp but I'm going to find a decent dermatologist and see them instead.
Does Spectrum not respect you either? I had a bad experience with Spectrum. First, I had to wait five weeks to be seen. I did wait and had a appointment set for 09/28/2017 at 2:00 pm. I drove across the Phoenix valley to get there and signed in at 1:14 pm. I arrived early as I wanted to make sure I was able to complete their "new patient" paperwork to be seen, on time, for my 2:00 pm appointment. I ask the front desk person at 2:15, "How far behind are you running?" She replied,"There is only on
Pretends niceness but is rude and bossy. Rushed through my full-body exam, got bossy and rude not long after it started. Failed to explain what the bumps on my scalp are. I still have no idea if they're cysts, moles,or just what. She only felt my scalp and didn't look at it ! I had a very painful lip injection/biopsy and no one asked if I was OK even though I indicated I felt bad {shock} , neither Chen nor the assistant stopped to make sure I was OK. The office manager,Donna, is horrible.
I cannot believe how non-customer oriented this company is. I saw the Chandler office for several years and we now have a billing issue. I contacted the Chandler office at least 4 times to get this fixed and they do not want to deal with it. When I got a notice of collection from Spectrum, I called to explain the situation to the 'main' billing office, Susie, she was absolutely rude. No, it's not a matter of not paying the bill and being irresponsible. It's a matter of the wrong code to the insu
I used to see Dr Chen until about one year ago. After 35+ years working outside in the sun primarily in Arizona and a few years in Southern California, Dr Chen advised me that I did not need to be seen yearly, and suggested only being seen once every 2-3 years by a P.A.!!! Are you kidding me! That's nutty thinking! Be careful if you see this doctor!!!
Dr Chen-Tsai makes sitting in a very dated Chandler office completely worth it! Office staff is very kind and helpful, but the entire office is oddly old-looking. However, Dr Chen-Tsai is very kind, helpful, and extremely thorough in examination and explanation. Her kindness and personable nature is truly extraordinary, and I very highly recommend her and her very kind staff.
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chen because I was frequently getting rashes under my arms without explanation. I had seen various doctors over the past six years in attempt to diagnose and treat it, but after several biopsies and tests, no one had given me an explanation. Within minutes of visiting with Dr. Chen, she had given me a diagnosis and two different treatment options and one of them was a success! I highly recommend Dr. Chen and plan to see her for all of my dermatological needs!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
