Eric Huish's Online Review Report Card

I just had my baby 4/7/23 and let me just say from the beginning of pregnancy Huish was the best doctor ever. Every appointment he always had the biggest smile on his face and always listened to my concerns and never made me feel like i was a bother ! Even during labor i was freaking out and he made me feel so safe and calmed me down. If you are looking for a doctor HE is the best doctor for your baby hands down, your in good hands with him!

Dr Huish was the on call Dr this past weekend when I was going through a miscarriage of my 14 week old baby. I called him probably a dozen times with all my concerns as the miscarriage was going on and he was so patient with me. He never made me feel like a burden and was so caring and gentle with me as i went through this terrible experience. After being in the ER for 8 hours waiting on the ER Dr to approve my D&C. Dr Huish then personally called me to tell me he was on it already arranging the surgery so i could get home. The nurses were even so surprised when probably 40 minutes or less later i was being taken back. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Huish and the care he gave me.

Dr Huish is literally THE BEST OB I switched to him when a friend who worked at his office referred me there and after a very disappointing incident with my previous OB who misdiagnosed me and it was the best decision I have ever made. Huish made my pregnancy and delivery experience everything, even with needing an emergency c section I wouldn’t have wanted any other Dr to delivery our baby boy, each day in the hospital he came to check in on us and make sure everything was ok his background, education and awards definitely show in his work and he is very compassionate and understanding people that I personally know who chose him as their Dr were not lying when they told me he is the best hands down!! I look forward to future pregnancies when the time is right knowing I am under his care.

Great doctor

My family went to see this doc end up with over $1000 bill on progenity lab scvs and physian assistant bill both out of network that requires out of pocket payment. Their Billing specialist basically gave us nothing but told us to call hospital or progenity. Poor service, rush doc with no care. NOT RECOMMEND

Worst experience with this doctor, especially after surgery, many out of network provider starts to bill us without getting proper notification from the OB office. Unfair and brutal to our finance situation.

This was only my 2nd visit but so far I have really liked Dr. Huish. He is thorough, kind, patient, and seems to genuinely care about me. The 3 stars is because of his staff. My first visit was not welcoming, I didn't feel cared about, and the blonde scheduling lady is very rude and condescending. I'm willing to look past his staff because Dr. Huish is so great but, something needs to change. I understand people have bad days and I thought that maybe this was the case my first visit, so I got over it and hoped the 2nd visit would be different. It wasn't as far as the scheduler goes. The rest of the staff was better. New patients should be a priority, not an inconvenience. Do better!

This office is incredibly unprofessional. I was pregnant in 2020 and googled this place. Receptionists and nurses are nice and patient. Doc seems ok and it was so close to home. However nightmare begins. They dont have ultra sound nurse available when the time i have to do a screening. They didnt call me and explain but arranged me with another ultra sound clinic. I missed the call as i thought it was fraud. When i visited the eric, he was surprised i didn't go to the other place, well i am more surprised that you don't follow up or notify your own patient with such an important screening. Therefore they told me i have no choice at this point but to do the blood testing called Progenity and of course it is OUT OF NETWORK of my insurance. Since i would take part of the responsibility of missing the appt, and most important nurse/assistant promised me that i would be paying NO over than $200. Yep, Progenity ended up charging my insurance over $1000.00 and asked me to pay $569.98 from my

This is not over yet, i finally delivered my baby at Banner, doc took longer than i thought to complete the c section (this is my 2nd c sec) and during the time chatting with the medical assistant about vacation. I felt weird that they were giggling during my c sec in the beginning. 2nd day after surgery, i had a sharp pain and couldnt pee. With nursing reaching out multiple times to eric, he finaly signed to send me to take CT, guess what, they found a HOLE in my bladder. OMG, urologist explained it was most likely due to c section and when ob peeled the uterus and bladder, the hole was caused. So i ended up opening my c sec cut and fixed my broken bladder. Carrying the catheter bag for 14 days is the hardest time in my life. I feel old, useless, pathetic and stupid. Thanks to the greatest doc that making all these. When i return to office, he was simply saying i feel bad for the situation but this is the risk you should take when you doing c sec. WHAT? I am done, i didnt argue or got any reimbursement but just want to leave in peace. However after 1 month, $2500.00 bill shows on my insurance page, medical assistant billed me this tremendous amount of money and again OUT OF NETWORK. lord, again. How come OB didnt tell me at all? Why everything seems so chaos with your office? i really dont understand. I emailed the office no reply, after 2 weeks called the office, the girl Amy answered the phone, who sounds very inpatient and indifferent: DR HUISH said this is your own responsibility and we cant do anything about it. WOW, why you never mentioned this before the delivery? i am obviously not the only patient you have operated on, not sure how many other women's bladder you have messed up with, this is ridiculous. Warning for other moms or to be moms to be careful with clinic like this. You will be paying a lot more than what you are supposed to and doc office will just be ignoring your complains and requests.

Unfortunately, I never even had the chance to meet this doctor in person. This one star rating is not intended to be a reflection on him but rather his receptionist. I was referred to this doctor by four different women who raved about him and even by a nurse who works at hospital where he does not practice however, all the women that referred me to him also warned me of his unprofessional and unfriendly staff I would need to face before each appointment. I did find it odd that each women that I spoke with separately had just as high remarks for Dr. Huish as they did low remarks for his staff but this did not concern me with my work history of medical field management. So the day of my first visit came and my husband, who left work early to attend, arrived before me and had begun to fill out my medical paperwork. Upon my arrival, I joined my husband in the waiting room to continue the paperwork and then approached the empty reception desk to return the completed forms. Another patient and I waited for approximately 10 minutes before the receptionist returned to assist us. Upon returning, I handed the receptionist my forms and inquired about beginning the process for my urine sample. The receptionist then informed me that the doctor left at 3pm (it was currently 3:45) to deliver a baby and I would need to reschedule my appointment (of course I was disappointed but I completely understood since this is his profession. Tip: next time call to reschedule upcoming appointments when the doctor leaves). However, after this the receptionist then continued with attitude to accuse me of being late for my appointment as the reason that I wasn’t able to be seen. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30pm and by the time the receptionist returned to her desk to take my forms it was about 3:45pm. Technically, if the receptionist had been at her desk to receive my forms when I was finished I would have returned them within a few minutes of my appointment time however, regardless of the timing, the doctor had left 30 minutes prior and was not able to make my appointment anyway! So whether I was late or not, her accusation and attitude was unnecessary and inappropriate. Another staff member then entered the reception area to help address the issue and the receptionist then turned to her to say that she was rescheduling my appointment because I was 45 minutes late. I then corrected her by saying my appointment was scheduled for 3:30pm not 3:00pm like she was stating. She then responded that my appointment was at 3pm and not the 3:30pm which I then referred to the email I was sent for the appointment which reaffirmed that my appointment was indeed at 3:30pm and not 3pm. I then reminded her of the real issue at hand which was that the doctor was gone and regardless of this argument she wanted to have it was not going to change the fact that I was going to need to reschedule and not be seen that day. I then voiced my concern about health issues I had been experiencing and asked if I could quickly speak with someone about a medication I was prescribed and the receptionist responded in a belittling tone, “You’ll be fine”. I then voiced my second concern that I was leaving town the next day and would not be able to return for my first visit until I was 16 weeks (I was 12 weeks that day) and again she responded in the same tone with “You’ll be fine”. Although I had been warned, I decided that I did not want this exciting time for my husband and I to constantly be dampened by my frequent interactions with the staff during upcoming visits no matter how wonderful the doctor was for previous patients. In addition, the multiple concerns I had were dismissed and invalidated. Unexpectedly, I was later omitted to the ER The next day for those specific medical concerns I had voiced. I can only hope that Dr. Huish recognizes the reflection his staff has on him as a doctor. For his long term success, I also hope he seriously considers replacing his receptionists and training any replacements on the importance of communication with patients.
