Dr. Dharia has guided me through two different kinds of cancer, over the last seven years. I trust him completely. He is very thorough, always listens and runs tests on even little pains to be sure it is nothing.

6 years cancer free...provided right mix of chemo with radiation and the right recovery plan. Very responsive at all times.

Personally I think Dr. Neel Dharia is the best Dr. I have ever had because he treats me like a person, not a patient. While at the same time being very professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and been sent to Ironwood Cancer Center. The oncologist I was scheduled with is Dr. Mendonca. She is the worst Doctor I ever had the pleasure of meeting with. She not only had me sit in a room for 30 minutes past my appointment, but she just rattled off 2 options for the medications I would have to take for the next 5 years, but then commented on my weight. Guess what, I know I am fat. I have been struggling for years trying to loose weight. I told her the issues I have had and what I have tried. Loved her snippy comment to go see a Psychiatrist then. In the report she put up in the Patient Portal, she described my visit as pleasant and lasting 45 minutes. Neither is true. Again, I had to wait alone in a room for 30 minutes before I saw her and then we spent maybe 10 to 15 minutes together. Definitely was not pleasant. She is there to treat me for my cancer and not make me feel even worse than I already do. If I cannot change my Oncologist at that clinic, I will either live without the medication or have to find another cancer clinic altogether.

The Doctor’s expertise provided me with the best treatment of my Cancer. The doctors and staff were professional, they listened to my concerns and truly cared. I am so thankful that I came here to be treated.

I am a physician and I only refer patients to Dr. Dharia. There are a lot of oncologists in the city but he is only one who is extremely thorough and has experience with difficult cases in my opinion. This is based not only on my experience with my patients who have seen him but the feedback I received from these patients. He is a caring and amazing Hem-Onc and is by far the most thorough physician at Ironwood. That is high praise considering the large number of physicians that make up their clinic.

I have been trying to get a prescription renewed for a therapeutic phlebotomy due to a genetic iron condition and have been unsuccessful after a week and a half. The scheduling office has requested multiple times and the order has been sent 3 times without the required notes for insurance authorization. This is a known requirement of healthcare providers. Terrible service and I would not recommend Ironwood to anyone.

After years of annual mammograms, a healthy lifestyle, lots of exercise, etc., last Fall, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her primary care physician recommended Dr S Mendonca at the Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers in Gilbert AZ. We have been more than pleased with the professionalism, compassionate care, and attentiveness of the physicians and staff. ICRC takes a team approach, so my wife has seen 6 specialists, and they truly work together as a team. Often, if one of them needs additional information, she/he makes a call to another on the team during my wife's appointment so that the issue is covered immediately. She is in the middle stages of chemo treatments, with minimal side effects, and will follow those with radiation, so hopefully will be cancer free for many years to come. It is wise to go to physicians who specialize in cancer diagnosis and treatment. We could not recommend ICRC more highly.
