List of Amol N.S. Rakkar's Reviews
Dr Rakkar treated a family member. As the caretaker, I am writing this review. I would never recommend Dr Rakkar at all. His bedside manner is cold and with each office visit he never physically examined the patient and always appeared to be in a rush and very uncaring. Treatment was unsuccessful and patient passed after 4 months of diagnosis. He was never honest or forthcoming with prognosis with treatment and was evasive when asked directly. All he appeared to care about was how fast he could get each patient in and out. More patients more money. I would not recommend this doctor.
My son has been seeing this man for over a year. He was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Surgery was done last September to remove part of his colon. There was not a urologist during surgery to look at his bladder. multiple times my son asked about urologist being there never was. Had surgery again to reattach colon again was asked about urologist and said yes one would be there, not. He how has bladder cancer and is back in his colon. My son said he treats you like you don't matter at all and won't answer questions about treatment. My son now has cancer in his spine and bones. This man should not be practicing at all.
My husband was a patient and it started out well enough, however not knowing a thing about cancer we certainly had no idea we weren't getting the best care. After several bad appointments and my husband's health steeply declining. I had asked some very basic questions about screening and his nausea. I was basically told they weren't going to worry about all that and just keep doing what we are doing. I truly believe at the rate of his decline I would have been writing his eulogy instead of this review had I kept him here. I'm grateful to report after moving him his care and he has improved remarkable well.
If you’d like to deal with an office who doesn’t call back or cares about their parents this is the office for you! They are rude and very unprofessional! If I could give a zero I would! Don’t see Dr Rakarr! It’s all about the money they don’t care about you!
I have been in remission for several years and I'm very grateful to his medical team. As far as Dr. Rakkar, he is arrogant, rude, and has no respect for women. A year or so after my treatment was completed I let Dr Rakkar know I had still not regained my strength. I was feeling fatigued and very weak. His reply was " Your Cancer is gone. Get over it and get on with your life." That was it. No tests no nothing. Some months later I found out I had Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3b. When I informed Dr Rakkar he said "Oh that's nothing." CKD is not nothing! Especially when it could have been caused by the chemo that he prescribed to me. After pulling up my records I realized he had months of blood tests that shows my low Kidney results and never bothered to say anything helpful.
It's a depressing place to be at. I have had appointments set up and won't know the changes until I come into the office. The scheduler did not bother to text or to call. The "my chart" thing is very unfriendly to start up. The chemo room is constantly packed, depressing, nurses only come to chat at the beginning of the chemo treatment and ignore the rest of the time, Dr Rakkar talks over my head and doesn't want to take the time to listen, always looking at the paperwork, no eye contact. I have changed and moved to another clinic where I feel they don't look me down for my cancer or my disability.
My mom was in the hospital for an infection he never came to see her nor anyone else on his staff . When we got out he seen her in the office got about 5 minutes never to see her again. I’v requested medical records over and over for the last 3 weeks for her to see another Doctor we still haven’t gotten them. This is NOT quack to take your loved one to see! It’s all about the money with him
Dr. Rakkar does NOT care about people/his patients. He doesn’t explain anything, has no time to talk to his patients. It’s disgusting that this man is in a position that deals with terminally ill patients. He is supposed to help save lives but he can’t even be bothered to communicate with his patients. He can’t explain anything or offer any kind of information to help his patients make informed decisions. If you want a fighting chance with cancer please go somewhere else!
If you want a fighting chance with cancer please see another oncologist. This Dr. doesn’t care about his patients. He doesn’t explain anything, doesn’t give any information so that a patient can make informed decisions. He expects you to know everything there is to know about your diagnosis. It’s disgusting that he is in a position that deals with people who have a terminal illness.
Met in person 2x. He reviewed my records in great detail and answered all my questions.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
