Arizona Center For Cancer Care's Online Review Report Card

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I do not want others to go through the financial ache I am going through right now. Earlier this year I was told by me new OBGYN that I needed current proof of a blood disorder before I was able to have an IUD placed. So they did some insurance research and found that my insurance was accepted here at this center. I went like a good patient to the referred location (where I waited 1 hr past my appointment time) and where all I needed was the doctor's confirmation that due to a blood clotting disorder I have that I would be able to get the form of contraception that I was requesting. My doctor was very kind and knowledgeable, even had a really nice conversation. He then told me that he would like to test my blood to confirm himself that I did have the blood clotting disorder that I told him that I have and have known about since I was in high school. Knowing all would be well with this one test, I agreed. Months later now I have received billing notifications that I must pay a large sum do to additional tests I was not educated on or notified about at my appointment! My insurance literally covered NOTHING aside from the one test he did talk to me about. I am furious that I not only had to pay for a lab test to be done on a disorder I already know that I have , but I am also being charged for tests I didn't even know about! The doctor was very kind and knowledgeable, but I should have been educated on EXACTLY what I was having blood drawn for. So if you do go to see these doctors, yes go, because they are really good at what they do and they have the heart for it, but please make sure you know at the end of your appointment what exactly they did so you do not have an unfortunate surprise like I did.

I have Dr. Singh. He's an excellent doctor. I have a type of breast cancer that can't be surgically removed. It traveled to my pelvic area. Dr. Singh has kept me alive now for 9 years! I feel he's on top of the new medicine out there. I like his staff. Haven't had any problems with them.

I have been coming to this office for three years.I love it my Dr.Justin Goldfard is a great doctor he listens to all my complaints,and answers all my questions his nurse Amy is great and very friendly she goes out of her way to make sure all your needs are met.the front office is always so nice to me when I call to get my weekly blood results Esme doesn't ask me can I get your name no she already knows who I am I would recommend this office to all my family and friends Thank you Arizona center for cancer care

One specialist performed a surgical procedure and 2 years later still having problems healing. He threw me by wayside so I went to another specialist there who also said he couldn't help. Got refered to the Oncologist at different location and also thrown under bus. Won't heal, keep getting pockets and would never recommend anyone to them. Devastating for someone who seems to have repercussions from the initial surgery.

I have been a Patient here. The doctor at this office is doctor James Choi. I had originally been a patient of Doctor Choi's when he was partnered with another doctor (doctor Franks a amazing doctor who has since retired) I followed Dr. Choi to his new office and this location was close to my house at the time. Lets start with the front office staff, the few times that I was there they were not friendly and no organized. I had needed some information from doctor Choi and had to call the office several time over a couple of weeks finally I was able to get the information faxed to me and when i received it it was incorrect. I do not think they communicate well. Another situation I had was where I needed to speak with doctor Choi, normally in the past when he was working under doctor franks he always returned his patients calls. Well not anymore, I called and left messages for him and finally went all the way up to his office managel. I said that I needed to speak to him, she laughed and said "honey dr. Choi doesn't call patients he is a busy man" I think at that point I should have found a new oncologist however, I felt stuck I had already invested all this time so I just went to his other office in glendale thinking this would fix the problem. This turned out to be a mistake to. That office is run like a train wreck. I always arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for all of my appointments you will never get called back on time. I have to always wait about 30 minutes to get called back to see doctor Choi, then once I get into the room I will wait a additional 25-30. This happens every time. I make note of it. When Dr. Choi will not spend more then 10 minutes with you and will rush you through your appointment. This is sad because when he worked under Dr. Franks he was not like this, now it seems he has become a uncaring and lazy doctor. I will be finding a new oncologist. I could not imagine having to go through chemo at that office because I do not trust anyone in that offices judgement especially dr. Choi's. I would say if you are considering seeing Dr Choi go somewhere else. It is not that hard to find good doctors. Contact the American cancer society for recommendations or a local wellness community
