Dr. Villareal was wonderful. My wife Rita Garcia had to be rushed to the hospital 6 months ago when she went septic from Diverticulitis. Rita was in very bad condition. Rita had surgery to remove some of her intestines and had to have a colostomy. Dr. Villareal performed her surgery and she showed us how much compassion she had for Rita and myself. During Rita's surgery Dr. Villareal explained to me what to expect from start to finish and what I can do with her home care. Rita went back in for a takedown reversal surgery to put her intestines back together and remove her colostomy on 3/19/2021 and Dr. Villareal and her staff again treated Rita with so much respect and human kindness. Six months ago I went to the Emergency room at Abrazo Hospital with severe lower left abdominal pain. I was sent to have a CT scan determining I had diverticulitis which caused an abscess filled with fluid. It was drained and after a day continued to fill up again. After continuous draining and infection persisting Dr. Villareal decided my only option left was Surgery. From day one Dr. Villareal was honest, caring and explained to me what may have to be done. I trusted Dr. Villareal with everything in me. On September 11th I went in to surgery and my diverticulitis had caused my stomach to go septic! After what was expected to be a two hr surgery turned into closer to four Dr Villareal decided a necessary colostomy creation needed to be done. Now six months later on March 19th I went back in for my colostomy takedown reversal surgery. Less than two weeks later I feel strong, healthier than I have been in years and So Very Grateful to Dr. Villareal for giving me a future to look forward to! I would Highly Recommend Dr. Kara M. Dr Villareal performed an emergency appendectomy for me. I was very sick as my appendix had perforated. She was very caring, especially in after care in relation to healing. She was available readily when I had concerns. I highly recommend her.

Ive had my gallbladder out over a year ago and ever since then ive been having complications. My scar is horrific and the pain i have interferes with my daily activities. Im constantly going to the ER in pain. I am waiting to get a second opinon from another GI specialist. Im only 23 and should not be dealing with these complications. Ill never be the same again after she did my surgery. Not recommended.

I was originally referred for gallbladder issues but Dr. Villareal didn't immediately jump into surgery; she referred me to a GI specialist and we found another issue causing my symptoms. Dr. Villareal is so knowledgeable but makes you feel like you are THE most important patient when she talks to you. She explained everything very clearly and honestly. She makes your issue understandable and calms you with her knowledge. She is friendly and caring and has a great sense of humor. I also dealt a little with Dr. McClary and she appears to have the same qualities. Same with the great staff.. I highly recommend Dr. Villareal and this practice to anyone who needs surgery.

Dr. Villarreal is wonderful. She is brilliant, kind and has very compassionate. She did surgery on my small bowel and everything went very well. Thank you.

She was very informative and social and answered all my questions and did a wonderful job on my umbilical hernia repair. I highly recomment her and her crew.

She should not be doctor, she did my surgery and I had so many other problems along with that. Thank god there were other good doctors to take care of me afterwards and I got saved. When i complaint to her she was so rude with me.
