Went for an exam and ended up with BV the next day, which I had never had. I can't say whether it was his or his staff's fault. He was knowledgeable and quick, He left no other options for surgery but his own, blaming on insurance. Ended up finding an awesome doctor for surgery.

Have had zero issues with him or his staff! I would not hesitate to recommend him.

He spends more than adequate time. Very thorough. Will be having more procedures and surgery with him. Very comfortable with him and his expertise.

Went in for IUD. During the In office procedure it hurt really bad. I said that doesn’t feel right, it hurts. He replied, “Haven’t you already given birth.” I thought to myself that was rude. I then replied, “yes , via c-section”. Then he went in put it inside me and clipped/cut me some how. It hurt really bad. I started bleeding and crying and I said stop. I don’t want to do this any longer. He seemed upset said ok. Then he just left the room. A couple of days later I received a letter in the mail from the doctors office signed by Dr Lee Koon, stating that, “I find it necessary to inform you that Desert West OB/GYN, Ltd., is withdrawing from providing further professional services to you. This is due to an inability to adequately meet your needs and expectations. This means I will no longer be your doctor.” This was in 2005, I was very young, 28, very shy, far from home & never wrote a review until now 2020. Hopefully he has gained more experience and a better bedside manner.

I have had him as a DR for my first born and he was great! Had him again for my 3rd and now I'll be having him as a DR for my forth. he's very polite and always willing to answer any questions I have. I never have to wait long for him at my check ups. Very kind and friendly. gives me all the information I need and answers all my questions, Very professional.i would definitely recommend him as a Dr. His assistant is great also! Very sweet and polite ,I always feel comfortable at their office ,never had any issues at all. Always great never rude..over a I would have to say I have had a great experience with Dr Lee Koon for many years as my Dr and I would highly recommend him!!!!

Did not take the time to explain complications I had during pregnancy. He has no bedside manner and is extremely rude. He does not answer your questions.

I had some rather complicated issues and Dr. Koon was the first doctor who took them seriously, got the bottom of it quickly, and resolved the issue surgically. He did an outstanding job and I was completely comfortable with his knowledge, skill and putting my life in his hands. He doesn't spend tons of time in the room with you, but he stayed until he had thoroughly answered every question I had, so there was no need to just hang around. He gets the job done and does it right. Very pleased.

He was amazing. I think he would be better suited in a practice that allowed him more time with each patient. He was always understanding when I called him back in the room if I forgot to ask something. He truly cared about me and my unborn child, you could tell. He nearly broke into tears when he held my baby for the first time. He probably would have a lot of women falling in love with him if he spent more time. I do agree that he should educate patients thoroughly. Most require, gentle help.

Worst annual exam ever! No bedside manner, no patient care! Never again!

The office staff was courteous but I was on hold for at least 15-30 minutes each time I called. His assistant Michelle was friendly but I have talked to others that were not as nice. :( Dr. Koon was something else. I thought it was just me - until I read the reviews...I am not alone. I know other doctors who may be 'straight to the point', or 'more stoic in nature'. There is a difference and this was not him...he had a horrible bed side manner and for a lack of a better word - he was RUDE. I have had some medical issues - resulting in abnormal heavy bleeding. His response..."well, what do you expect". hmmm....well, I expect an answer to why or maybe a course of action. I met with him for a total of 3 minutes before he went straight to an ablation. No exam, no tests...not even blood work - I had some past tests with me...he did not want to even look at them. Thank goodness my primary suggested a biopsy first...but he is doing it. I am really nervous and do not feel comfortable with this at all. I am seriously thinking about cancelling and finding a new Gyn.
