Qi Zhang's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Zhang is an amazing, caring physician. I'm always glad to see her.

I have though about Dr. Zhang frequently over the last 3 years. She wasn't even my Doctor. But, my Doctor wasn't there the day I had to be induced with my son, so Dr. Zhang was there. The induction didn't go as planned & I was given the option of doing an emergency C-Section or trying another round of Pictocin (which could have put my son in distress). I picked the C-Section & I remember feeling like I was going to vomit as they wheeled me back. This wasn't anything I prepared for. I never imagined this would end in a C-Section. I've never under gone any surgery before. I was more scared than I have ever felt in my entire life. & after - Dr. Zhang sat next to me on my bed, placed her hand on my knee & told me that I made the right choice, that I did so well & that the cord was actually wrapped around him & it would have resulted in a C-Section anyway. Had we waited any longer it could have harmed him. I remember feeling so overcome with relief. Ever since, I have been forever grateful that she took the moment to sit with me & tell me that. She basically confirmed for me that the first choice I ever had to make as a Mother was the right one. & even though I only had her for one day - that moment changed my life & I will remember it (& her) forever. Thank you, Dr. Zhang. Thank you so much.

I have gladly seen Dr. Zhang for several years. Previously I have seen doctors that are so quick to get you out of their office and make the experience very impersonal. They make you feel like you are just another person they have to see that day. Not Dr. Qi Zhang. She is knowledgeable, honest, and caring. She is very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. Every time I've seen her she has remembered past conversations we have had about health and non-medical related. I have nothing bad to say about her. All around she is an amazing person. I will continue to see her until she retires. 10/10

Awful doctor! Horrible beside manner!! Don't waste your time or money with this doctor.

Dr. Zhang is fabulous. She takes the time to treat you as a person and not a number. She explains everything and is very caring. I recently went thru a traumatic miscarriage and I truly felt that she cared and was so supportive of everything.

I have been fighting for over 5 years to get a tubal ligation. I have 1 child and am single but I wanted it for health reasons. I went to 5 different doctors that told me I was too young, what if I find a man that wants kids, etc. Dr. Zhang was #6, my final attempt for awhile. She sat in front of me like I was a human being, she asked me questions and agreed to do the surgery and then she apologized that I’ve had to fight so long for my own body. Even on the day of surgery, she was so understanding and supportive and must’ve told others because I overheard the anesthesiologist say “She’s been fighting for this for a long time”. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Zhang and her amazing staff and will never be able to truly thank her enough for giving me a chance.

Dr. Zhang is super amazing. I had a c section and she made the cut perfect. She super sweet and nice. And I was remmend to her by a friend and wasn't disappointed what so ever!

Had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience at Desert West OBGYN with Dr. Zhang. She rushed through the appointment and never gave me the chance to explain my symptoms or ask any questions. Her "diagnosis" did not make any sense and the way she explained it to me was downright insulting, to say the least. The few "solutions" she offered were bizarre and not at all fitting to the problems I am experiencing. I left the appointment in tears and told myself I would not be going to a gynecologist ever again. Long story short: I would never, ever recommend Dr. Zhang to anybody, ever. It was a complete waste of my time and money, and now I am back to square one with the symptoms that brought me to Desert West in the first place.

She is an awesome doctor!!! She was so nice and very friendly to talk to. She delivered my son, and I wouldn't have asked for a better doctor :) She is awesome!

Generally nice but left my appointment feeling very upset. she did a Pap smear without asking me or telling me she was going to do that. I just had a Pap smear a couple months ago so it wasn't really necessary. I've also had 2 miscarriages with no successful pregnancies yet and I'm only 6 weeks! I would have absolutely declined a Pap smear until second trimester. It was very invasive and made me cramp and bleed. There were multiple other rude comments made. I will not be seeing her again.
