List of Abrazo West Campus's Reviews
Abrazo has been the absolute worst when it comes to their billing. It has been two years now and they keep coming out with charges and billing my insurance incorrectly. I keep landing with tens of thousands in charges because they can't communicate with insurance properly and I, as the patient, have to do someone else's job that they neglected to do properly the first time.Avoid this place like your life depends on it. Choose a different hospital.
I know wait times are out of their control but jeez this hospitals wait times are always awful I came in peeing blood with horrible kidney pain made to wait in lobby for 3 hrs with zero to no help if I could give it less than one start I would horrible avoid at all cost there’s no reply button but I call bs that any of these reviews will ever reach anyone and it really feels like white patients get way more attention and care than minority patients so maybe fix and work on that before anything else
Please avoid this hospital if you can I was there for damn near 7 hrs just in the waiting room nothing was done to help I was peeing blood and had horrible kidney pain finally had enough and had to ask 5 times to have someone talked out my iv the nurses were Too busy gossiping to help a mom and her daughter having a seizure so she left the staff seem to be nicer and more caring to white patients than to Hispanic or black patients god knows how much they billed my insurance for the luxury of sitting for 7 hrs and getting poked 4 times by a nurse that was horrible at ivs I can't say this enough avoid at all cost if you can I rather bleed out than go back to that pos hospital I asked where I could file a formal complaint I got zero help a Mexican non english speaker got mistreated got her discharge papers damn near thrown in her face and got told nothing but a white male patient got babied and the nurse spent like 30 minutes with him it's a racist staff avoid at all cost especially if your Hispanic or black I swear the lady that replies copies and paste the same generic bs to everyone just say you don't give a damn be honest Emily s just be honest and say you don't care it would be less insulting than your generic response to peoples bad reviews
I had a procedure done on 1/4/22. My husband drove me since I would not be able to drive myself home. I had a 7:30am check in and it was very cold outside. As we were checking in at the registration/info desk we were BOTH told we couldn't wait inside because of Covid. We had been waiting outside for awhile when my husband went back inside to ask if he could use the restroom and they gave him a hard time, but let him use it. He came back outside and told me that they told him they had been calling me. I got registered and they told my husband he would not be allowed to stay. We live 40 mins away and we weren't happy since we weren't told in advance. So the reason for this review is because we were told we couldn't wait inside, but yet they let a Caucasian couple sit inside the whole time where it was warm & we were told we had to wait outside in the cold. Although we got there 1st.The only reason I even gave them 3 stars was because my Dr & the nurses were amazing and very nice to me.SHAME ON YOU REGISTRATION/INFO DESK WORKERS & SECURITY GUARD AT ABRAZO WEST FOR TREATING MY HUSBAND AND I UNFAIRLY & UNJUST. YOU MADE OUR SKIN COLOR & APPEARANCE AN ISSUE.
This is one of the filthiest facilities I have ever breathed in. I went to abrazo emergency seeking attention for my child they told me she had a bruise. I went to banner they told me it was a hematoma. All along I’m telling them my kids had a Pilonidal cyst. I brought her to Phoenix Childrens/UC They took one look at my child and told me without a doubt that is a pilonidal cyst and that I was absolutely correct. They drained it and sent me home. I do not recommend the other facilities to any parent based on their lack of care and their poor judgment my daughter was in pain for no reason for too long. Why was she misdiagnosed pure medical malpractice which is laziness.
Had to have my gallbladder removed here. The nurses were super busy but still had time to check on me regularly. They were all extremely nice and sweet, and I was a little sad to say goodbye to them! I hope all the people giving negative reviews realize that they're always very busy and filled with patients, of course they can't be perfect. Anytime I had an issue I would just call in the nurse and it'd get fixed. You're gonna have long waits at every hospital.
The Abrazo West Campus obviously has serious management problems, yet the BEST NURSING CARE one could hope for. From the ER to the regular floor, and including the nurses at the cath lab, ALL the many RNs provided EXCELLENT care.Several specialists that worked with me were cardiologists; ALL were very competent, personable, caring and kind. TOP NOTCH!Some of the hospitalists who worked on my case seemed to have much trouble listening and getting my medications right. Of the three from the SOUND GROUP, DR.Wilson was the most helpful. The room I stayed in and the bathroom floor were FILTHY and the thin mattress provided too worn in the middle to ever be comfortable. I've never seen a hospital before as a patient or as a visitor, that had FILTHY walls and FILTHY floors in patient rooms. After I complained to both doctors and nurses about the food, even showing it to them, the food became somewhat acceptable and the speed of service suddenly became EXCELLENT. No one ever asked if I was on a special diet and consequently brought entrees I couldn't eat.Due to the very obvious management problems, food service issues, and the FILTHY room, 3 stars is more than generous for Abrazo West. I would not return to this hospital except by ambulance, and then only in a severe life threatening emergency. For any of the hospital staff that might read this, my initials are JWH and the room was 9A. You know which floor. Thanks again nurses for your kind, generous and compassionate care.James
I am currently at the West Abrazo hospital. The Staff for my situation is amazing and caring. A big shout out to my RN's. Each floor has a dementia patient. I can hear each of them explaining things over and over to them with such patience. My wound specialist is phenomenal! Explaining to me every possible scenario. I LOVE THESE HARD WORKING PEOPLE! E.g Beverly, Courtney, & Deborah.
I orinally was scheduled to have my surgery at banner estrella, then it was moved to a later date at a Abrazo West. Let me tell you, im so happy I was moved ro Abrazo. From the time I walked in I received the most heart warming care. The lady who checked me in for my surgery didn't treat me like another number. In fact she later got me a card and said she would pray for me. The nursing staff was attentive and so nice and personable
We have been here for almost 9 hours, for something simple and all to get one little pill. The wait times are awful considering there weren’t many people, but the nurses are nice and helpful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
