I went to him a few years ago complaining of right knee pain he took x-rays and put me in a knee brace which has now messed up my foot and that’s all he did for me I shouldn’t have gone to him I’ve had numerous surgeries in my life since birth especially orthopedic surgeries and he is the worst one yet I’ll never go to him again.

Dr. Andre Matthews is a great surgeon. He did my hip replacement surgery in 2010. And my hip adjustment surgery in 2020 when I fell and loosened my prosthetic hip. He did my knee surgery in 2020 and my husband's knee surgery in 2020. Everything went GREAT. Our after-care was also GREAT. I totally trust Dr. Matthews. He has excellent staff working with him. They have been the same staff from 2010 to 2020 and they remembered me after 10 years between needs.

I had two knee replacement they were very hard but I’m doing good dr Mathews isn’t a people person but he knows what he is doing my husband getting ready for shoulder surgery Becky is the best and so is Lindy

Did a knee replacement for my husband...still pain there for a year...blamed his back...followed with back evaluations that reported back is fine...we actually let him redo the surgery a second time..some time later after he just said ..More time..(crazy us)...another year of "not correct" and pain....and finally we went to Mayo in Rochester...and a team of Drs. and the chief of staff did another complete replacement...Its much better..and they warned us not to expect miracles due to all the damage done in the two previous surgeries and the time lapse for nerve endings to recover as they should ....we live in a Senior community and personally know about 5 others that also had unsuccessful knee replacements with this Dr...we wish we could of warned them!!

I will not ever ever see this doc he did my knee i haven't able to bend it for a year still can't he to old his side kick nurse just as bad please dont go to him

Had knee replacement surgery and almost immediately felt that the knee was loose. Dr. did a revision and put in a thicker plate. Same outcome. Dr. said it was my fault because my tendon was "too stretchy" and I needed to exercise more. Other surgeons recommended a complete revision and when that was done (with another Dr.) the prosthesis practically fell out-not to mention that the tendon was either cut or torn. Completely different out come. Can't recommend Dr. Matthews-Becky is awesome!

Cannot recommend Dr. Matthews. Did knee replacement surgery and immediately I could feel that it was loose. The whole shin bone part of my leg wobbled back and forth. He said it just needed a thicker piece added to the prosthesis. That didn't work either. He blamed me and said my tendon was "too stretchy" and I needed to exercise more. Physical therapist said I might could do intensive exercise every day for the rest of my life, but it probably wouldn't help. Other surgeons suggested that the entire thing needed to be taken out and replaced. Another Dr. performed that procedure and the initial pieces practically fell out and my tendon was either cut or torn. Completely different outcome with another Doctor. I think that if Dr. Matthews can just slap the thing in there and everything goes his way, you're fine. Any problems - not his fault. Becky is AWESOME.

Needs to retire. Pathetic bedside manner. He is a legend in his own mind.

He gave me cortisone shots instead of surgery. A total waste of time, and he should retire

Avoid this Dr. He needs to retire. I have had problems for many years with my knee. He swears it is my back and is talking about injections into my back.I will NEVER recommend him to anyone
