I was seen in the emergency room at this hospital last night, I am Covid positive, and I would like to share my experience. I was in the yellow zone and feeling like literal death. Within 4 hours, I left there feeling like a new woman. Mercedes, my nurse, and Timothy, I believe he is a nurse, as well, were the most awesome compassionate people I have ever dealt with. What a great staff and a wonderful hospital, thanks guys for making Covid a little more bearable for me!❤️
This is the dirtiest most filthy hospital I have ever been in. If you need a bathroom don’t come here. Even when you tell the staff, no one came in the 2 hours we were there to clean them. My wife came in with heart problems, she had to wait 45 minutes just to be seen. In Utah if you go to the emergency room with heart problems they see you right away. They don’t care here and it’s supposed to be the top heart hospital. If this is the top I would hate to see whats
I have been to this ER several times, with my mother, step father and husband and every time I go there I tell myself it's the last time. First you sit in the waiting room watching up to 5 employees sitting around chatting. Takes at least 3 to check in one person. So you sit in pain or fear and listen to employees laughing and joking while there is no help for you. That's even before you get back to a room.
Stream extremely poor response time to a high blood sugar waiting for an hour to get insulin
Brought my wife into the emergency room, as her throat was on fire and she had high fever. As the time I'm writing this review, we've been in the waiting room over 3 hours! It is unfathomable that an emergency room this size doesn't have adequate staff. Over three-hour wait!
I am sorry to say it was the worst experience my son and i have ever had in a hospital. Waited for over Three hours and nothing.... We travel almost 3 hours to this hospital and they did nothing but take my son's information down and after that nothing so so sad.We ended up leaving the hospital because it was a person sitting next to asked how much longer it was going to be and they weren't very nice. I was sitting close enough to hear the conversationWe had had enough i was not going to sit there for five hours or more. What i didn't understand is that some people were walking in later then we do and they were going on before us that was the worst for me. Anyway if i could rate it minus five stars i would 😣😣😣
This hospital is horrible as far as the wait time for an emergency. I was going septic due to MRSA in my leg and it was about to travel into my blood yet they still made me wait hours to find me a room. People who were there for things such as foot pain were going back right away but people with serious issues had to wait 5 hours even when they most likely had covid. There excuse for taking so long in the emergency room is that we are in a pandemic. Well why is it that the really sick people with possible covid and with mrsa have to wait longer than someone with pain in there foot. This hospital triage is such a joke. I suggest for an emergency call 911 and get the ambulance to take you somewhere better because this hospital is pretty empty and the staff don't do anything to make things faster. They just hide behind the whole, "pandemic" excuse. . .
Today I brought my husband in with a stroke. So far the level of care has been good. This is the third time in a year that we have used this ER facility. My complaint is how dirty the rooms are. I'm not sure it has been cleaned since the last time we were there. Stickers are stuck to the floors. Crude under the cabinets. No shine on the floor just a dull dirty brown. Nurses throw their medical supplies around instead of throwing them away. The urine in his urinal was not emptied for over an hour. Who wants to sit and look at that. Is it too much to ask for common courtesy to be shown? They didn't even give us a plastic bag to put my husband's belongings in. His shoes were under a chair. His shirts were on a counter. Is it too much to ask? It's hard to be sympathetic to the "over worked" nurses when you see a half dozen standing around the nurses station visiting. No one ask if you need anything or offer to get you anything. They do their minimum requirements. I think we may have to rethink coming here, even though it's only two blocks from our home.
Security did their job well, however the emergency room registration/secretary (she sits at the front desk) was completely rude. She told a family member of mine that our family wasn't here, just to find out they were here. She also had to check her computer(that's understandable) to see if anyone was in, but the family behind me she didn't check. Didn't say anything, besides go right on up and sent them on their marry way. They weren't asked questions or anything. Just told they're fine too go. She came off very rude and said twice that's not my job, when I asked if she knew the answers to a question. I asked to speak to the nurse, was told the nurse was busy. I told her I can wait, which she then schoffed and rolled her eyes. I figured I was asking questions that she couldn't answer which is why I asked for the nurse which was replied with the nurse is busy you can talk to security. So I asked for. Security. Security took all of 5 mins. During this whole transaction she helped other people before answering my question and please tell me there is a dress code here. Cause her jeans displayed the biggest camel toe I have ever seen. Someone should really tell her, or something. It was super obvious and very inappropriate for family to come through the emergency room and see that.
The 4th floor staff just lie to people and I dont deserve them lying. Instead of just telling me that I can't come up to see my uncle before he dies. Instead they run the "have a seat and someone will be down to talk to you" Been here an hour now and I'm still waiting for someone to come talk to me. They are full of bull$#!#! And NEVER INTENDED TO COME DOWN TO TALK TO ME!
It was so horrible I can't believe they put me in the bowels of hell and left me for six hours w a fractured wrist. I just had to walk out or I would still be there. The Dr. Believe s, that someone died and made her God and it's her choice to treat you or not. Feel sorry for her next victim.
Here we go with another banner facility, went through them literally losing my wife the last time, now a complete lack of expediency in providing care, I called at 10am this morning trying to get an update on the status of mom in thier car and was told her nurse would call me back, 4 hour's went by never heard from anyone so I called again a little after 12pmAgain I was told the nurse was unavailable and that they would have her call me and again never heard from anyone. Finally at 6:30 I was able to get ahold of her nurse, my mom is an addict but an amazing person and I just got her to agree to go to rehab yesterday and informed the nurse of such, my mom is with-drawing from fentanyl and they are not following any type of withdrawal medication program or protocol, she's 60 years old has influenza and they seem to not care that the withdrawals could ultimately kill her. This is the 2ND encounter of complete lack of care and compassion I've gone through with banner. If you care for your loved one and are concerned with their health I would highly recommend another hospital eveyone of their facilities has shown nothing but a grotesque level of incompetence and absolute lack of value for the patients they care for, if I could give a negative 5 I would I'm so absolutely disgusted with this organization as a whole
There is all types of medical facilities are available.
I have been here two hours with level 10 chest pain, and all I had was an expensive EKG. They sent a bunch of others back before me. They don't believe me. I am not lying. I have been screaming since Wednesday night. These young girls don't believe old women. I came here because Dispatch Healh wouldn't come to my house and sent me here.Update: the backroom nurses were good. Trouble with my IV but not too bad. THEY Got rid of my headache through trial and error. We will see how my neurologist succeeds with botox as followup. Overall I'd recommend because eventually help me.
Was hospitalized for a few weeks and found the nurses and Drs to be informative, compassionate and caring. April in ATU needs to be nurse of the year. During my daily IV infusions she was expert level in advice and compassion. She needs to be prototype for all nurses.
Avoid at all costs. I was there for ten days nobody helped me wash up. I also had medication issues. I will never go back!
re-entering banner work force special shout out too Michele. in recruiting . cristina in pre boarding ( thumbs up to you)
Absolutely the worst hospital experience I’ve ever had! My mother was admitted here on September 31st, for covid! Beat all that but her nurses kept saying “you’re going to die if you don’t get on the ventilator” and turns out the ventilator is what killed my mom! She passed away October 3rd, she was only 44 years old and so full of life! The one nurse & the charge nurse for the day we took her off life support were really sweet and hugged each and every one of my family members. The others were VERY RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL!
My experience at Banner Baywood was wonderful!. I have covid and was not getting better. At the emergency department I had excellent care. My nurse, Clinton, was knowledgeable, caring, funny and... quite handsome!! I got fluids and some meds to help me with symptoms of covid. I highly recommend Banner Baywood!
Tried going to the er cause i was having issues with my immune disease ulcerative colitis. Im on immune suppresants and can doe from covid. so when being checked in i asked if covid patiemts are in with everyone in the er waiting room. they tell me no theu are on a different area. So i check in and go to the waiting room. 15 mins into waitimg i notice that 15 feet away in the same room there is a section labeled respiratory area. 3 people sitting there coughing sneezing dropping tissues on the floor etc. Possibly infecting 30 other people in that waiting room. We are 2 years into this pandemic and they dont have a seperate waiting room for these people that have covid. I will never again go to this place and risk my life being lied to about where covid infevted people are waitong to be admitted.
