Dr. Jayavelu came to see me when I was hospitalized, she was called in for a consult. She is very nice and very knowledgeable. When I was discharged I was instructed to see the Dr. in a couple weeks for follow-up. I called SKI to make an appointment. I was told her next available was 2.5 months out. I made that appointment, I didn't feel like I had much choice. But when the appointment date was approaching SKI called and said the Dr. would not be available, I needed to reschedule. Next available was another month out. And then, unbelievably, when that date was approaching SKI called again and said the Dr. would again not be there, her next available would be yet another month out. I would then be about 5 months after when the hospital said I needed to see her. As you might guess, I gave up and called a different practice. It was a very disappointing experience.

I have only been dealing with Dr Jayavelu for a short time, but she seems like a very competent and efficient doctor, a pleasure to have her as nephrologist.
