I saw Dr. Shumway after a car accident I was in. He was very thorough and friendly. He tried not to cause me extra pain in his examination of my injured arm. I did not feel like the appointment was rushed.

Had my first visit with Dr. Shumway today and I was very pleased with my experience for several reasons:-Due to his bis business model of not contracting with insurance companies, which tends to impose time restraints on doctors, I didn't feel rushed at all, and he took ample time to address my health maintenance concerns-He was kind, respectful, professional, very knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable-At this time, Dr. Shumway does not employ any staff at his office, which I found refreshing because it gave me ample time to ask questions, develop a working relationship, and best of all, no wait!-No piles of paperwork to fill out! All I had to sign was one policies agreement form and an information privacy form-Visit fees are affordable and transparent, and Dr. Shumway provides information on how to submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement, and gives an itemized receipt with everything needed to do soI will not hesitate to recommend Shumway Family Medicine to anyone. Primary care made more personal, accessible and simplified. In a word: refreshing!

Dr. Shumway is fantastic. He was able to see my 6 year old son on short notice. He did a great job helping my little guy feel at ease during his visit. He spent the time to answer my questions and make sure we understood what the next steps were. I won't hesitate to recommend him to everybody I know.

Dr. Shumway has an excellent bedside manner and is very thorough. If you're looking for a doctor who takes your care seriously and gives you his full attention, this is the place for you. I've found my new primary care provider.

I smashed my finger in a car door and the pain was terrible. I am in the same office complex as Dr. Shumway and I was looking for a reason to go visit him and this presented the right opportunity. He was able to get me right in, take care of the nail and not worry about the hassle of insurances all at a very reasonable cost.
