List of David M Bell's Reviews
Dr. BELL is very down to earth and has a friendly, caring attitude. Nice is important to me. Professional and capable are also important and he qualifies in every area. Really liked him as a person also.
I have had excellent care from Dr. Bell. He spends a lot of time making sure he answers my questions, orders appropriate tests, and does follow-up. I have no problem recommending him to others.
Our experience with him has been less than satisfactory. Our last visit, he told us there was nothing more he could do for his Afib and referred us to another doctor. Everything he told my husband NOT to do, put my husband in a 911 situation and he was AIR VACTED from Hatch, UT to St. George, UT while we were on vacation 3 weeks after seeing Bell. and 4 weeks after his procedure. My husband ankles are severely swollen and red from the swelling. He has too much water in his system and around his heart. He thought he was having a heart attack. He was told to GO BACK to riding your bicycle and exercising to help reduce absorb the water in his system. Bell told him to stop. This should have NEVER happened. The swelling was a MAJOR red flag that Bell ignored. Doc in Utah knew exactly what going on when he seen the swelling.
He seemed super rushed...appt was about 30 minutes late ~
My husband was sent here after an abnormal EKG and specifically asked for an NMR lipoprofile and Calcium score CT to assess cardiac risk. Assured him they’d order both. Instead did a stress test, declared him “fine” and told him “the stress echo would show any blockages” which is false, it would only show a >70% blockage. Friend of ours just dropped dead with a 40% block. Said they’d do the NMR, he gave blood AT their office, now “no record of labs” and refuse to re-order. Incompetent.
Dr Bell always takes time to listen and absolutely cares about all his patients. He has a subtle sense of humor which some people seem to miss, but he's a great doctor and a great guy, so if he seems "glued to the computer", be assured he is assessing what needs to be done to help...
I have been seeing Dr. Bell for several years, since I survived a ruptured abdominal aerta.. He is a no nonsense Dr. that does a great job & checks on everything.. I always feel like he has my best interests at heart even though he might not have the soft smiley attitude that some prefer.. I would give him a stellar recommendation...
If you need a cardiologist i cannot in good conscience recommend Bell, who my pcp referred me to. This is just my opinion, but an MD is preferable. He was rude, frightening and just an awful manner. Complained to my pcp that this DO misdiagnosed me and caused me emotional distress. AVOID.
I question the three above bad reviews since the language is similar in all three. I saw him and felt he spent a lot of experience with me and was quite friendly. He ordered tests and I got them all done.
I am currently waiting on care for my mom, WAIT WAIT WAIT I just found out she has blockage that could be damage her heart..obviously I am seeking other help..but these test that have been performed take time and to go to a new doc is like going to the DMV...REALLY!!! Docs needs to be held accountable. My name is Mary Clanton my Moms Name is Lelia D. , Dear Doc Do you care about my Mom??? I DO!!! Customer service and care for who you take care is important in all industries, mine as well as health care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
