Dr. Griffin is the best!
So far, my surgery on my left foot seems to be going alright and Dr. Griffin seems like a good surgeon and he tells me everything about the recovery and surgery. However, his office staff is the worse I have ever encountered. I've had plenty of encounters having had 21 surgeries. First, I completed all my substantial medical history online. When I went to my first appt, they said it did the computer was down and I had to do it again. I have had many, many surgeries so it is not easy. My surgery was scheduled for Monday Dec 11,2023. I had my surgical physical at Mayo right away. I went off my arthritis medicines and all supplements as directed by my doctors at Mayo. I then complained about pain on the same foot in a different location at another visit prior to Dec 11th. Dr Griffin ordered a MRI which was performed at your Banner Baywood location. I had an appt with Dr Griffin Wednesday 6th? and reviewed the MRI. Dr Griffin asked his assistant to add 30 minutes for the surgery to remove what turned out to be a Neuroma. No one ever said my surgery had been cancelled. I received no notice or phone call my surgery was cancelled. I went to the surgery Dec 11th and was told I was not on their schedule. It took some time before they figured it had been cancelled back on 11/30 by Dr Griffins staff. My husband & I skipped our grandaughters 2nd birthday in San Diego to be rested and physically and mentally ready for the surgery Dec 11th. What a shock that was. My husband and I went to Dr Griffins clinic the next day and was told it was cancelled because I did not have the MRI done. Not only had the MRI been done, but we'd had a meeting with Dr Griffin and reviewed it. I did get a call Friday Dec 8th where I was asked to call back. I called back and the answering machine was full and I could not leave a message. They told me they had cancelled me because I hadn't done a second MRI. I said the Doctor and I had reviewed the findings of the MRI. No one gets a second MRI within 10 days on the same foot. I also had the doctor's sign off on the original surgery date and the MRI that we had reviewed together. I was off my arthritis and supplements for an extra week because of the surgery cancellation. It is vety important I stay regular with these and I suffered for it. His office staff didn't give me a handicap card for the car application at any prior appointments which the doctor told me afterwards they are suppose to. Instead we had to go back to the office and ask for one after the rescheduled surgery on Dec 18th. My husband saw the physicians section was not completed as the form just had Dr Griffins signature. He asked the 2 receptionists in the front office about it and they said it wasn't necessary to complete it. I asked "Are you sure?" and they said Yes. We drive over to a motor vehicle office and stood in a long line (this after my foot was sore after seeing the doctor) only to have the clerk tell us that it was not filled out by the doctor so we couldn't the handicap permit. What the yeck???? So we called the office and after 20 minutes got through to the doctor's special number, address phone, etc to get the permit. At the surgery center on Dec 18th, they asked if we had brought the protective boot. We said no one told us to get one. They said, no problem, we'll get one downstairs. Well, the only boot they had downstairs was a full boot where Dr Griffin had ordered a mid calf boot. They called around and found one at Dr Griffins clinic location and while I was in surgery, my husband had to drive over and get the proper boot. So though I was very impressed with Dr. Griffin, the thought of dealing with his terrible staff was really frustrating to me.
Dr Griffin is very pleasant. Takes time to explain what is wrong in a manner that I can understand.
Explained everything perfectly.
DR. Griffin is great! Explains everything very well.
Dr Griffin is a good listener, engaging, and offers treatment options that best fits your needs. He treated my warts on my feet and they were gone in one treatment! I would definitely recommend him! Thanks!
Dr. Griffin, MD and Heather Jordan, RNP both have the somewhat rare combination of skill and compassion. Not only were they both completely competent and knowledgeable but they both took my case personally. I could not ask for a better team for my orthopedic needs! As a plus, the office staff were pretty amazing too!
Pleasant, professional, exceeded my expectations in every way, I would highly recommend Dr Griffin.
Although I was only looking for confirmation on a diagnosis and will most likely only be seeing Dr. Griffin the one time, he was great. He was thorough, took the time to explain the injury in detail, had a wonderful bed side manner and was easy to ask questions of. I would highly recommend him to anyone and would definitely come back to him if the need ever arises.
I didn't realize that I have probably been suffering from ingrown toenail issues my entire life until I was well into my adult years. They started to escalate and I was getting recurring infections on both big toes. I'd had my nail cut back before on the inner side of my big toe and it was very painful but there has been zero post procedure pain when Dr. Griffin performed a double nail bed ablation on me. The procedure itself was a little painful but bearable and I was given plenty of numbing shots for the area. I was offered more if I needed it but I decided I didn't need it. He was very personable and great at distracting me from what was going on with interesting stories. He is very lively and very knowledgeable when asked questions. The first time I had come in I had a current infection and he ended up wanting me on antibiotics for at least 3 days before performing any procedures which I thought made sense and was prudent. Great experience every time with Dr. Griffin. ^_^

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
