List of Dr. Grant Heinz's Reviews
Mohs surgery left me unexpectedly with all the skin removed from my upper ear down to the cartilage. So grateful to have a skilled surgeon like Dr. Heinz who was totally unfazed by a complicated skin pull through because this was in his repertoire. Thank you Dr. Heinz!
Internet said Heinz was knowledgeable re: thyroid eye disease so I called to make appointment. Was given appointment with Dr. Campbell. Confirmed that Blue Cross insurance was accepted. After waiting for some time, one day before appointment which that office had confirmed via phone and e-mail numerous times, I got a voice mail message (evidently left the night before) cancelling my appointment. Office message said Campbell not yet accepted, certified or whatever by Blue Cross. Office suggested I call to reschedule appointment. Not happening! Also after looking at the Heinz website, it appears they do primarily plastic surgery. These may be the greatest doctors ever but since there's no way to know when and if Campbell will be certified by Blue Cross and I'm unclear as to his actual knowledge of TED, I'm looking for an actual eye doctor who deals with that topic.
Wanted to see Dr. Heinz because Internet says he knows about thyroid eye disease. His office scheduled me with Dr. Campbell. I received numerous reminders from thee people. Appointment set for tomorrow; however, when I listened to messages this morning I learned this office had called me sometime in the evening of Tuesday to tell me my Thursday appointment had been cancelled. Evidently they are having some difficulty getting Blue Cross to certify Dr. Campbell. They asked that I call and reschedule the appointment. That is not happening. After waiting quite a while for an appointment with a doctor I'd never heard of in a practice that is evidently more focused on plastic surgery, and cancelled my appointment literally on the same day I received their last reminder, I am moving on!Theses doctors may be the greatest thing since sliced bread but their procedures need some work. Who schedules an appointment for a Blue Cross patient when you know the doctor is not certified (or whatever) by that organization?
Dr. Heinz is a brilliant man and a gifted, excellent surgeon. His quality of care is second to none. I read some of the reviews that were less than 5 stars and they were people complaining that they had to pay for services. When you are getting something complicated done, you want it done right the first time with no regrets, that's Dr. Heinz. Regardless of the fee, or the distance travelled, rest assured you will receive the best quality of care from Dr. Heinz and it will be well worth the effort
Waited six weeks for an appointment Ten days prior to the appointment, the office called to cancelThe reason the surgeon was called to surgery. In other words, the surgeon canceled his office appointments to make more money at his surgery centerDo not waste your time
I have been a patient of Dr. Heinz for many years. He has successfully treated my complex eye condition. I have always found him to be very knowledgeable, kind and caring. The office is smoothly run and has an excellent esthetician center. Dr. Heinz was recommended to me by another doctor and I am very thankful he did! I highly recommend Dr. Heinz!
Horrible experience! I was referred to Dr. Heinz for a second opinion, but walked out after less than five minutes. He was arrogant, self-promoting, and worst of all, insulting, insisting I had had a procedure that I never had. When I told him I found his comments insulting, he doubled-down, saying that older people are forgetful and I probably had the procedure but didn't remember. I am neither old nor forgetful and spent most of my career working for Mayo Clinic. Believe me, I know what procedures I have and haven't had. I also know what medical professionalism is, and this is definitely not it. I would never recommend this doctor and suggest that if you do go, you DO NOT prepay, which they pressure you to do.I
I have seen Dr. Heinz several times due to multiple skin cancers. He has always done such a great job in repairing the areas. I have been very happy with the results every time. I would highly recommend Dr. Heinz and his staff.
Great doctor and staff. They truly care about their patient's.
Very caring doctor and staff. This office is very professional and really takes their time to make sure that you understand your surgery and benefits. I would highly recommend this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
