If I could give zero stars...I would. I saw Dr. DeBarros for a consultation a couple months ago and have never been treated so unprofessionally. Long story short...I have been told for a few years I need to have a surgery done to prevent long term damage, but was told it could wait till I was done with moving around for school. I finally made an appointment to have the consult and saw Dr. DeBarros. When he saw reports from the previous doctors, he was shocked that I had not taken care of this sooner and continually berated me for the remainder of the appointment with no recognition of understanding or even listening to any explanation. I have never been treated so poorly and unethically by a clinician. I hope he does not treat other patients this way and I just caught him on a bad day...but needless to say, I will be seeking care elsewhere.

I started seeing Dr. Debarros In 2016 after having the Lap Band put in by another Dr in 2010. I left the other Dr’s practice in 2013 after 3 years of being degraded for not loosing as much weight as he wanted. By 2016 I had gained all of my weight back +. The second I met Dr. Debarros he made me feel comfortable and worthy. We worked together to try to make the band work. But in Dec. 2017 I had to have it removed. In April 2018 I got the Gastric Sleeve & in 14 months I’ve lost 130lbs+. WLIAZ’s staff, nutritionists, doctors & Dr. Debarros don’t judge if you gain, they are truly there to help you be the healthiest you and make you feel wonderful about yourself! I can’t thank them enough!!

Love the whole staff @ WLIA. Dr. DeBarros is awesome; fixed my hiatal hernia, no more heart burn! I can't wait to get my sleeve! Grateful to have the best team of doctors! I fully recommend Dr. DeBarros if you're looking for weight loss solutions, give them a call.

I left this surgeon/clinic midway through the process to go to another: they wanted to do hernia repair in their outpatient clinic. I had 2 insurances that would cover costs. I did not want to do it at their clinic; insurance would not cover it there. The finance person & the surgeon actually tried to barter with me to not go thru insurance & pay directly out of pocket & they would only chg me what insur would make me pay. When I said no they kept lowering the cost like car salesman. SHADY!!
