I had a total hip replacement 6 weeks ago. I had lot's of anxiety but Dr Sumko and his entire team are the best. Everything went so smoothl!! I had surgery at 7:AM and home by 3:PM. I've had minimal pain and recovery has gone well. I definitely will be recommending Dr Sumko to all my Friends and family.

Nicest staff and that really helps keep everything organized and working well! Dr Sumko was amazing! Nice informative, really kind and understanding! So glad I found him!!!

I am two months out from my second knee replacement surgery and seven months out from my first. Dr. Sumko did both. I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED!! Both knees are doing well. My recovery was faster and less painful than I expected. Scaring is minimal. Thorough and informative, both Dr. Sumko and his PA Drew Lambourne, made me feel confident, were personable, and most importantly - skilled. I high recommend them and their method of surgery!

I have never been to a doctor’s office where everyone acts like you are the most important patient of the day. Dr Sumko and Drew and nurse(? I’m sorry I don’t know her name.)take their time with you. They answer every question and really listen. My PT said that I am far far ahead of most people who have knee replacement. They have this procedure down to an art. I walked without a walker or cane on day 3. I had some discomfort but little pain. This has been an amazing experience.

I was in need of a new hip for a long time. I kept getting the run-around with the VA about not wanting to do my hip because I was too young. I finally got the VA to authorize the surgery out of the VA system and found Dr Sumko. I wish I would have had this done years ago. The whole process was done in a morning. In the hospital at 8, walking out by 2. Granted I had to use a walker at first, but 2 days later I progressed to just a cane. And less than 5 days after the surgery I was walking without assistance. My quality of life has improved tremendously because of how fantastic of a job Dr Sumko did. Total hip replacement and the scar is so minimal. My old femur was so worn down that I had been walking slouched over. The new implants corrected the length lost and I no longer have pain in my other hip, my knees or my back. I'm hoping I don't need to get work done on my knees or other hip, but if I do, I'm coming back to Dr Sumko.

The need to have a total knee replacement was overwhelming and so scary. I decided to research and found Dr. Sumko highly recommended with using a non evasive approach. He was so patient and did not push any procedures on me. When I did have the surgery, 2 hours later I got up and walked around the nurses station. I still have a hard time believing I actually had a total knee replacement. 2 weeks prior to surgery I had what is called Cryotherapy. This numbs the knee in a way that there really is no pain after surgery and gives you the strength to work your knee and heal. His team worked a miracle. I feel so blessed to have taken the time to find the best Surgeon out there. Dr. Sumko...Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel like I can live again.

I had my first visit with Dr. Sumko today. He wanted to know if I would be able to come in a little earlier and so he called me personally to see if I could. The images of my knees were done very quickly right at the office. Dr. Sumko took the time to talk to me about a weight loss plan that would help get me where I need to be within a few months in order to have knee replacements. He was encouraging and very easy to talk to. Thumbs up so far!
