As a senior, I found Dr. James to be very professional with excellent skills. He communicates well with a good bedside manner and some humor that put me at ease. I was comfortable with the surgery and his follow-up.

Dr. James performed a bowel resection surgery on me earlier this year. In addition to putting me at ease with a lovely bedside manner, Dr. James is incredibly knowledgeable, diligent, and made me feel like I was in extremely capable hands. Post-op he was available for questions, I am doing great, and the scar is healing beautifully! Highly recommended.

My wife was assigned to Dr. James (who is listed as in-network for UHC) for emergency gal bladder surgery at an in-network hospital. While we had no complaints about the quality of care provided by Dr. James, the surgery was billed as out-of-network and we received a $6k balance bill 8 months after the surgery, despite having already hit our out-of-pocket max. The bill was subsequently turned over to collections. Apparently because Dr. James was working on-call, he was considered a contractor and could and did bill the surgery as out-of-network. No one warned us or explained this to us in any way and we had no choice in the matter, given that it was emergent care. While clearly unethical, this is appears to be standard practice for the surgical group with which Dr. James is associated (Colorado Surgical and Critical Care Associates) and he seems fine with exploiting this loophole at his patients' expense.

Dr. James is outstanding! He is supported by a competent and caring staff. I am stunned by the effectiveness of his skill and treatment. If you have a wound "issue", I highly recommend Dr. James.

Dr. James performed an appendectomy on me last week and it went really well. He’s very kind, patient and down to earth. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again in the future.

Highly recommend Dr. James. He was patient, kind, knowlegeable and patient. He performed surgery on my daughter for a pilonidal cyst removal. She is very fearful of doctors and he made her feel comfortable during the office visit and throughout surgery. The whole staff at the office and surgical center were incredible.
