Abrazo Peoria Emergency Center's Online Review Report Card

Worst hospital on the planet! Walked in with a pneumonia, hard time breathing, fever, chills. All they did was take my vitals and stick me in the room. Was waiting over an hour and not one person walked In to ask or let us know that a nurse or doctor would be in shortly! Felt like a prison in there. Walked out and going to a different ER.

Disgraceful care, professionalism, and sense of urgency. Patient waiting since 3pm, patient waiting since 4pm, patient waiting since 430pm, patient with heart and breathing problems waiting since 7pm.Front desk man said “nurses are doing turnover there is always delayed care during this time”.Unacceptable.

My family has been to this location a few times and every time but this one has been great. Dr. Forrest Dean ruined my confidence in this Emergency Department. My son was in an accident and had a broken clavicle and a bleeding head injury among some other superficial wounds. After the X-ray they said here’s a sling (they put it halfway on for him). No instructions or educationIt wasn’t until they gave me discharge papers that I realized they weren’t even going to look at his bleeding head (which needed staples)When I spoke up that I was uncomfortable with them not looking at his other injuries the Doctor was rude and as rough as possible while doing the staples. Very disappointed with this doctor and that no one was on to address my concerns.

I can in with testical pain and pain in my stomach. A patient had to help me in with a wheel chair. I’m sick aches and passing out. I asked the receptionist to get me out of the chair 3 times. I had to get out of the chair so I wasn’t in so much pain. The security guard kept insisting I had to get up and he could help. In fact no one can help me get up. I told him to call the police a ambulance or who ever he felt needed to be called. I have a bad back along with the growing pains. I also have sharp crowing pains in my stomach I’m still on the flow. They insisted that I keep trying even if I couldnt and hurt myself. This is tile floor here and I only had socks. They refused to give me sticky socks. This hospital is a outrage and needs to be sued. TBD.I also e mailed 3 on your side. We will see how that goes.

Dr. Forrest dean was very disrespectful unprofessional and rude telling my sister and niece that it’s people like us who aren’t vaccinated that spread virus . Also my sister felt very attacked and he was discriminating against her because she’s Hispanic. Made her wait for 2 hours when usually these visit are in and out .

Went in on a Sunday around 5pm. My 9 year old son was in a lot of pain and we suspected a broken bone. There were a few people in the waiting room but it wasn’t super crowded. We waited 3.5 hours and finally had to leave because my son was starving. No one from the waiting room had gone back in at least 45 minutes.

I was referred to Abrazo in Peoria AZ by the NP at HonorHealth Urgent Care. I went to HonorHealth for what turned out to be Shingles. They were very concerned about a blue tint to my skin and suggested I go to Abrazo immediately. They spoke SO highly of this place. Let me start by saying that I very rarely go to the doctor and am very nervous when I do. At first it was great. I got in fairly quick. I saw 2 people before the actual doctor (which was strange) came in, and they were fine. However, the doctor was very rude from the word GO. The first thing he said is," What are you doing here?", almost accusingly. I explained for the 3RD time why I was there. He immediately told me what he thought the problem was based on obviously distorted/exaggerated information from the previous 2 people that saw me. He said he could do some tests to find out why I was BLUE, if I wanted, but they would just come back negative. How the heck do I know what tests I need? He's supposed to be the doctor, right? I told him I was there because HonorHealth was VERY concerned. He then went on to say that he wished HonorHealth would stop referring people to them and that they do not know what their doing and do not even have a doctor. He asked to see my Shingles rash, then asked what medication they prescribed me. I told him I didn't know. He said he was going to try and find out, because HonorHealth probably prescribed the wrong medication, and left the room. He made me feel like a hypochondriac idiot for being there. I felt so humiliated that I pulled off the blood pressure cuff and the thing on my finger and just walked out. I'm not going to PAY to be belittled. I would NEVER go back there again. I don't know the doctors name, but he was very old and clearly has forgotten the Hippocratic Oath, and that I pay his salary!! If I treated my clients the way I was treated I wouldn't have a job for long. In case anyone within the company reads this and cares, I was there on October 31, 2021 around 2pm.

We are out of state visitors from Georgia staying at the Cibola Vista Resort and Spa. My wife was in severe pain and needed immediate medical attention on Oct 28. Our visit to the emergency center was exceptional in all aspects; the service was comprehensive, caring, thorough and done expeditiously.  I am retired, with over 40 years experience in healthcare administration. The Abrazo Emergency Center provided the best care I have ever seen and could easily serve as a model for how to do things right. All of the staff we encountered were professional, courteous, caring, and thorough. My wife was seen by an ER Nurse, Nurse Practioner, Emergency Room Physician, and a respiratory therapy technician.  They were able to do a wide range of tests and provide additional needed therapeutics normally only provided in a hospital setting. She was discharged with a full discharge report that had all the pertinent information including specific information that was easily understood regarding her condition. As we will continue to return to Cibola Vista in the future, it is comforting to know that this excellent facility is just a short distance away.

I was seen for stomach pains. The nurses that treated me were awesome. I only saw the Dr. for about 5 minutes. Prior to my release the ER attendant Michael. Told me I had to pay $525.00 before I left the ER. If they had to bill me later. My bill will be more than the $525.00. I thought that was ridiculous but paid it anyway. I’m wondering if I overpaid them. Since I was there for about two hours. Not happy with the pressure to pay an estimated amount.

The day time staff is a joke.
