I sent him an mail picture of a wound from a biopsy Dr. Reese did. I said it looked infected and stunk. He said if it didn't improve they would change what i was putting on it. Long story short I went to mayo clinic emergency room and it was Very infected. On an antibiotic for 20 days, instructions to go to wound clinic. Home health to change packing 3 days a week. Long time to heal. Disgusted

Good Doctor - Will no longer see his existing patients of record for minor surgeries or physicals. Only does skin cancer surgeries. Disappointing

Dr. Barlow explained what he was doing and he stayed with Mme until the. Procedures were complete.

Dr. Barlow is the best! He did 2 surgeries on my nose. As a result half my face and nose were covered in bandages. This was done during the week of Halloween, so I teased that my mask had me fitting right in! When it was all over, it's hard to tell where there is scarring.

I had MOHS surgery with Dr. Barlow yesterday.He provided me with excellent information and the procedure was flawless. His empathic skills were great.The front office was efficient and the med assistants were great.Dr. Jeff Breen

Absolutely ridiculous...I've been on hold for 8 min now in regards to a simple yes or no question ...literally have rung back 4 times now...(where it starts ringing alerting them that I'm still on hold )...my goodness this is unacceptable..

Gauze was left in my nasal cavity my surgery was on Fri over weekend my nose was draining serious mucous for hours. I didn't know what was happening tried calling doctor but no response as office closed weekend. Finally to my surprise a large piece of gauze came out of my nose by the way of of my throat and into my mouth. He also had terrible unprofessional nursing assistants that all seem like it's on the job training. During surgery It took so long for Dr. To get back to me as he was juggling several patients & I was worried I was not going to be numb from the injections which are extremely painful & wanted to avoid going thru it all over again unnecessarily, I mentioned this to the assistant who was very cold and she then stuck the needle in the end of my nose asking if I felt that!! Who does that!!? shes not the doctor and what kind of doctor lets their employees do this to their patients! Additionally It was never explained that I was going to be getting several injections down both sides of my nose on the bridge and cut all the way up to between my eyes as the skin cancer was on the lower tip of my nose, I thought I had endured the worst already, had no idea the intensity of what was to happen next. Anyway wen I called the office about the gauze situation on Monday and explained to the doctor what happened he had nothing to say!! Not one word and he had me in speaker phone as I could hear that I was on speaker phobe, he acted like I was living about the entire thing. This has really made me frightened to go to ANY dermatologist in the future, and if I do I hope to go to one that has 20 yrs experience and actually has excellent track record. I can only hope that Dr. Barlow and any others like him will one day have more compassion for the people who come to their office. As for Dr. Barlow he gets zero stars from me.

Our whole family has seen him at one time or another. Great Dr. Straightforward but caring. Great staff.

Dr. James Barlow is excellent. The main issue is to get an appointment, even if you have been one of his patients for more than 10 years. His staff at the reception is not very efficient. I have an appointment scheduled on August 8, 2018. I wanted to schedule an additional visit just for a skin exam even with one of his assistants. I was told : " no availability before July 30, 2018, but we can put you on the list to call you in case of a cancellation ". I got a call to schedule me on AUGUST 7 !
