Excellent eye surgeon!!!

He was supposedly recognized for (1) of the best Doc. in 2011. For all his accolades you think he would be able to give a better answer for the blood in my right eye other than “BAD Luck I guess.” I know good doctors can have bad bed side manner but there is no need for rudeness or disregard for first time patients with no history of eye/vision problems. Unfortunately as patients we have to have faith and trust in professional doctors that treat us. With that being said I have to go back to him since he is somewhat familiar with my bad luck eye. I hope he does read this and consider a better demeanor with his patients. Once again consider going else where but feel like I’m at his mercy as opposed to starting all over again with someone else. I hope the Referral doctors reconsider referring patients to him. His sighing and demeanor has a lot to be desired. Yes, that’s right sighing because I couldn’t hold my eye open. May the Lord guide you on my next visit. 🤞🏼 Had I known ahead of time he rated only 3 stars I would have gone elsewhere

This guy is arrogant and not helpful. The exam lasted about two minutes and he couldn’t wait to get out of the room. He seemed irritated to have to answer one question. Would not recommend.

I wish the doctor would be a bit more verbal and explain what is going on instead of the "I said it that is it" approach. A bit of communication would go a long way.

Our experience with Dr. Jamal was horrible! My daughter was referred to him for an urgent procedure, which if not done, can cause her to lose her vision. Dr. Jamal spent a total of maybe 2 minutes with her before telling her to "go to St. Joseph's ER (in Glendale), they have good doctors there, someone will help you." Immediately, I explained to him that we were referred to him for this procedure to be performed that day, by him. He seemed to be dumbfounded....Mind you I had spoke with his office staff the day before and clarified the procedure. To add insult to injury, I questioned how it was sound medical advice to send us to an ER with the hope someone will help us. This not only risks my daughter's health, but those patients and staff in that ER. Dr. Jamal refused to look at me, instead speaking to me with his back facing my daughter and myself and his only response to my question was, "I don't know what you want me to tell you."

Warning this dr ended up blinding me with his misuse of a steroid drug.

Dr was great. Didn’t care for the assistant.

Triage nurse Melissa was exceptional when we contacted her after we received phone call with upsetting info from office staff member.

I went one day to get appointment with Dr Jamal regarding a blurry vision in my left eye. They asked me to fill out all the papers and gave me an appointment - on the appointment day I was told to fill the papers again - they had lost my papers and did not bother to find them. I went through some tests for 2 hours -Dr. was overbooked and some of the staff members seemed stressed and impolite. . Finally I went to Dr's room - he was constantly writing something on the computer. He then shook hands with me and said I see that I have a scar tissue in the left eye and it needs to be removed or my vision will get worse - He talked with me for maximum one or two minutes and asked me to take more pictures with dye - Then they took me to another office and scheduled me for surgery for the following Friday. I asked for a month delay - They also asked me to go online and create an account which I never could due to some technical glitches in the system - they tried to help me but gave up - I then asked for my record and they asked me to come down and pick it up. I then decided to get a second opinion and saw Dr Kwong who took a few tests and told me I did not need a surgery and asked me to visit him in six months. Dr. Kwong talked to me for 45 minutes and explained the reason for not doing the surgery. You can figure pout why Dr. Jamal's rating is so low
