List of Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital's Reviews
2021 was a banner year for big surgeries, and I'm very pleased with the way I was treated at Banner Heart Hospital. The master of scalpel ceremonies was great and the operating room was chilled to perfection, at least what I recall of it.My private room was comfortable and not too far from the bustling nurses station. They also seemed to enjoy my speedy Ricky Bobby hallway laps I ran the day after surgery. But the strawberry pear salad was the real star. Swing by for lunch. I don't know the non-insurance price, but whatever it is, it'll be worth it.
This hospital helped to save a Covid-19 Patients life, by using a RotoProne bed. The patient did not drown in his lung fluids as so many are, because he was simply put: turned over. Some one staff member in the hospital has the brilliant idea to get this patient in the RotoProne. It was the primary element to his eventual recovery. I applaud that individual, and team who agreed and put it into action! The RotoProne bed save my brother-in-laws life when he fell sick with the 2009 Pandemic Virus H1N1. Without it, he would not be with us today. Bravo Abrazo!
Let me start by saying thank you to all the individuals who had a hand in my Father's care! Dr Loli you're an amazing Doctor! You saved my Father's life and have given our Family hope that he will have some quality of life going forward. The Good Lord has truly blessed us! I also want to thank Deborah Runyun, RN Liaison for keeping us informed during and after the surgery. Deborah you're a caring and compassionate individual! Thanks again to the best of the best!Sincerely,Richard H
Considering that I hate hospitals, this one by far is the best they are caring in every way. Lead nurse Alex was awesome. Dr Jeff was cool. I have heart problems, they gave me options to either stay or go home. So kind hearted. Damn can't remember the other Dr's name. Anyway great job team.
I used to love this hospital however, they hired new staff in the emergency department that are rude, abrasive. They don’t even have an MRI. I left and went to another hospital. Don’t waste your time here, please go elsewhere. It is not the same Southern hospitality and professionalism they served us with before.
I am a Physician so I understand how the practice of medicine and hospital protocols work.I began having Syncopal episodes in June. I had been to the ER and had an excellent treatment there..BUT, the follow up could not be worse. It is now 5 months later and I am not scheduled for my cardiac appointment for my Stress Test until later this month (I did have an earlier appointment 2 weeks ago, but was unable to attend due to a flu.As a clinic physician.. if a patient came in,, and fell over… they would be sent to the hospital immediately and not given appointments for another 2 months.Totally unacceptable..Shame on you..; next time I will be much more assertive.. but a patient should NOT Have to make a fuss over follow up appointments..Very unhappy…. /-( :; :-(
We are so impressed with the way this facility treated our father throughout his stay at . Each and every one of of the staff membered cared for him with the up most respectful and compassion. There are no words to express our gratitude. The facility was clean and was maintained clean. The staff was pleasant to communicate with and always kept us in the loop of any changes and provided the full picture of options and was willing to take the extra time to educate us. I would highly recommend this facility all the doctors brought their A game and succeeded. We spent most of our time with the ICU team and they were over the top, definitely A team here. We were treated amazing and the entire team worked together to resolve any medical issues that was thrown to them.
You have to withhold certain information if you want to be taken seriously here, take that how you will. The staff here is definitely seasoned but set in their ways, they need to learn to separate personal matters from work
They are A heart hospital and can't do difficult IVS. They had noone on staff to use the ultrasound for difficult sticks. Now this is a heart hospital scary!!? I have a lung disease which keeps me on continuous oxygen. I knew I had Covid so I went there to get the mono infusion. BTW I didn't get the vaccine due to me being in the hospital so much and they are lying about getting a vaccine while having low immunity. Not safe!@!@ especially with a vaccine they know nothing about still. Anyway after the doctor says oh you don't need your oxygen since covid syptoms were not bad yet . This was 2 days ago. And has enough nerve to lecture me about not taking that vaccine. BTW told doc of my nephew who had have brain surgery got covid even after vaccine!! Still doesn't give me infusion when I meet extra high criteria. Then next day went to other Abrazo because o2 levels with oxygen 4 liters at 90 percent . They gave me the mono infusion but during the 6 hours before that never took my vitals once. Not once. Never answered my call light and when they finally did take vitals blood pressure was 190 over 162. My o2 went to 88 percent. I got back on oxygen myself! This was the Scodsdale campus. Today o2 says ar 88 at 4 liters going to emergency . The infusion may have worked if he gave it to me before my symptoms got out of hand!!! The infusion also can be given even if you are not positive for Covid but at high risk and exposure. That doctor didn't want to give me the 1200 dollar infusion since I am on Access. I know it . Why else would he not give it. My family doctor stated that I should be given right away no ands ifs about it. Valleywise actually has treated me better than any Abrazo ,Banner and dignity but unfortunately they are far and not enough hospitals or specialists. My primary care doctor is the one that has kept me alive with fast care. Caitlyn Macquarie awesome nurse practioner. Doctirs all over need to take note from heroes! Thry might actually save a life. Oh also the second doctor that did give me infusion at other campus was going send me home without infusion too!!! But changed her mind last second after I complained. They continue to give terrible care and that's why people are dying from Covid.. Seriously its from the hospitals not seeing the patients for 10 hours or not admitting them or not given proper meds in a timely fashion. If I do die from Covid I know it's due from lack of good care. Heck had one doctor at Ocotillo banner 2 times she seen me didn't even listen to my lungs nor touched me!@!@ when I came by ambulance with chest pain!!! So sad that people are getting treated so bad. My nephew got the vaccine. How that help him went to his brain!!!. It isn't the virus people are dying it's the lack of proper timely care like if someone has stroke symptoms time is key for mortality!!! Oh and the pulmonlogist at Banner too. Different hospital but they all are giving suboptimal care. Missed that I have atelectasis. Maybe if he started therapy for that 5 months when this started instead of doing no procedures and finally ordered stuff recently. It was seem on the cat scan but he said he didn't know what that was. Wow. I got Vat scan last night and you can see plain as day it is atelectasis!!I Funmy that the Doctor at Abrazo heart hospital on Halloween says that Covid is bad enough for a vaccine but with my preexisting conditions I'm not bad enough for a safe antibody infusion that works for 70 percent of people and the vaccine works for 30 percent! . I hope I survive this j. I also kinda wonder if I got a vacuum infusion next day like a booster then it covers that 100 percent instead just 70. Because I think I got mine too late
Had very high expectations with this hospital and it wasn’t what I thought it be like. Very unorganized and the staff treated me in a rude manner ( only a few) and i was a new employee at the time. They all talked about eachother and couldn’t even get anyone to train me well because all they did was run around while half the nurses sat and played on their phones. The pay was wasn’t even worth it as much as they had us doing. Glad i had the opportunity to leave asap.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
