List of Andrew Racette's Reviews
Lived in five cities and never had a better skin doctor!
I am a new patient referred to Dr. Racette by my PCP. He did a thorough exam and treated a couple of issues. Found him and his staff to be professional. Very happy with appt. Definately recommend!
Excellent staff. Knowledgeable and easy to schedule / book appointment. Explained everything they were doing and no pain at all highly rated.
Dr. Racette was kind, patient, and competent in addressing my skin issues. I would highly recommend him and his practice to my friends and family. I will definitely be back. Thank you!
Prompt professional, answered my questions.
Beware!!! Dr. Racette is the worst provider I have ever seen. He lacks bedside manner and left me with a horrendous scar after removing a small cyst (does not know how to place sutures). If you care about your skin do not see this doctor!
Andrew Racette put me at ease when recently I had to have what is called Mohs Surgery on my nose, after a cyst that was removed was found to be Basal Cell Carcinoma. I was concerned that the surgery would be disfiguring but Dr. Racette only removed a very small amount of tissue, which is healing nicely.
Dr. Racette is fantastic. It's his office staff that is HORRIBLE!!! Good luck getting anyone on the phone. My insurance company is constantly bothering me to get someone over there to call them back. For the 5th time in a row now, I'm late for an important medication refill which requires prior auth because the insurance company can't reach anyone at the office for additional information needed. Also, don't bother trying to reach an office manager to complain. She's a complete coward and won't take calls or return them. She always forces someone else to do it. Dr. Racette, please do your patients a favor and provide them with better care from your staff! My complaints on here are not unique to many others' experiences!
When I had invasive melanoma several years ago and was self pay, Dr. Racette was compassionate and thorough. Went recently on 3 visits for atopic dermatitis and it could not have been more different. Impatient to leave the exam room after five minutes, failed to do a proper examination for skin cancer (I had to show him every spot) and he did not check anywhere else thoroughly or he wouldn’t have missed at least 4 spots, including a mole he had previously noted. Had to show him spots again on face and marked them with a pen (site of invasive melanoma). No explanations or care instructions for current condition except for medications without explanation. Never informed condition was chronic (incurable). No materials provided nor informed of how long each medication would take to begin working. Did my own research.Last visit was the worst. Huge and debilitating increase in pain and symptoms. Medication website recommended calling Dr. for multiple symptoms. Impatient, curt and arrogant and frustrated that I had taken more than 15 minutes (seems he was watching the time), even though I had asked for 30 when I made appointment. He said he had to take care of many more patients ($$$$$$$). No help. First and last time I will leave a Dr.’s office in tears.i think his 4 offices must have a lot of overhead.
Had my elderly mother in to see this dr. We had one area of main concern and he was extremely knowledgeable and we made an appt to come back to have it addressed. We asked for a body scan which honestly is a given at most dermatologists. I showed him a few other areas I was concerned about which he shrugged off and never did the full scan as asked. We went to a new dermatologist yesterday and he found and burned off 13 precancerous growths and biopsied one area he was quite concerned about I had also shown Dr.Racette. While I think Dr. Racette is perhaps a educated man who knows dermatology, I think he is overbooked. The waiting room was full and wait was long. The office is dingy and not what I would expect of a dermatology office, which is shared with another business. The receptionist was rude. The experience overall was ok. The one thing we were most concerned about was removed and came back as something semi-serious. But his overall hurried nature and lack of due diligence to even perform a body scan was off putting, particularly now that I’ve been to another office and had a completely diffeeent experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
