The staff is great BUT they need to work on their time management... I get they get paid hourly but I dont get paid to sit here 2 hours.... my appointment was at 905am. Got here at 845am and im JUST now gonna see the eye doctor at 1004am BUT I gotta wait till HE is in the room to tell you the time. Just work on your guys time management
I went to my schedule appointment but I forgot my wallet so I was turn away because I couldn't pay my copay even though I told them I always paid online after years of going to them that was upsetting
Bad experience I spoke w/ lady Tina very rude person . Very impolite.not professional.don’t know what she’s doing, I was asking for refill & and rescheduled my apoiment and she try to collect the debit in my account ,& she was so rude telling me I’m spanic and don’t speak English. Try to speak w/her supervisor and she said she doesn’t speak Spanish. Can’t help you, but not right treatment for customers. I’m very disappointed w/ this lady . And management to hired this kind of employee. W/out education how to work with customers. Works place in phoenix don’t go there .someone has to pay attention to this issue.
The front office is rude I got ignored while checking my mom in they were only talking among themselves they weren’t doing there job I feel like they take there job for granted if it wasn’t for these elderly people they wouldn’t have a job
Fixed my husband’s detached retina. Very happy with the results!
This is by far one of the WORST places to go to. Girl with the red hair Sunny is condescending and rude. Don’t go there unless you’re trying to wait 3+ hours
I have been taking my mother to Dr. Bakall at Associated Retina Consultants for macular injections for a very long time. We are normally there for 2 hours or so, but today (June 3, 2025) was just too much. The appt. was for 10:30 and the pre-injection work up was timely. That's where it stopped. Mother finally received her injection at 12:50. Further, the assistant who injected the numbing drug forgot to numb the injection site, putting mother in considerable pain.
4/23/25 Located just west of SR-51 and Glendale Avenue. Private Parking 5/5 Plenty of private parking including numerous up front by the entrance. Atmosphere 5/5 Modern contemporary with tasteful Artwork throughout the large lobby. Plenty of seats. Service 5/5 Staff members keep patients moving through a progression of special exam equipment rooms. Service 5/5 Excellent providers for the treatment of Retinal tears or disease. I've been treated by Dr. Mathew Welch for 10 years. He repaired a partially detached retina discovered while being examined for an unrelated issue. Dr. Welsh and the staff here are great! He has been following me after treatment for Retinopathy which required monthly special medication injections into the eye for a year. My recent visit confirms stability and no changes in the last four years!! Recommend 5/5 I highly recommend Associated Retina Consultants and Dr.Mathew Welch!
I finally found Dr Kwong to correct my eyes, him & his staff no matter which one you go to . Dr Kwong was referred to me by Dr Herron from The Carrot Eye . Both Doctor's are the Best in their field, Top Notch in all ways for their Patients.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. I've been having vision problems for a year and a half after a vitreous detachment and cataract surgery. I'd been to 4 previous doctors and no one could tell me what was wrong or offer any suggestions other than to use drops which did nothing. I saw Dr. Welch yesterday (and his awesome associate) and very quickly learned I had floaters that could be removed with a vitrectomy. I'm eagerly awaiting my surgery to fix it. My wait was short and I had several tests so if you have a problem, realize you'll likely be there a couple of hours. But I waited only a couple of minutes in the final exam room for the doctor. Everything was smooth and there were no long waits between tests either. A top notch facility! I was very impressed!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
