Bonnie J. Maffi's Online Review Report Card

I will never forget Dr. Bonnie Maffi and the awful experience I had with her. I was sent to her by one of her colleagues to evaluate for endometriosis. She was mean, rude, sarcastic, and generally cranky. Further, she told me that she didn't understand why I was in her office or why they sent me to her because I was fine and there is no way I should be in her office. She made me feel horrible. I insisted upon a second opinion within the same medical facility, which I was granted. Turns out I did have one of the worst most severe cases of endometriosis they had ever seen, upon further examination and procudures, so Dr. Bonnie Maffi was wrong. Not only was she wrong about the diagnosis, but she did not do the procedure(s) necessary to back up her incorrect statements regarding the diagnosis she made. She was rude and mean and disrespectful of the situation, my feelings, my time, and my money spent to see her. I wish I would never have had to go to the appointment with this doctor.

She is very professional and was easy to talk to. Glad I found a new doctor!

Avoid at all costs. She did not ask my permission to have her male medical student in the exam room while conducting my tests - she just walked right in with him in tow and began the exam. I should have absolutely been asked at the beginning of the appt if this was ok, and I would've said no. Extremely unprofessional, made me wildly uncomfortable, borderline illegal and I would not recommend.

I found Dr. Maffi to be thorough and attentive. I was a little apprehensive with these negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have no complaints and I am happy to have found a great gynecologist.

One of the best doctors i have seen in a long time. Finally a doctor that actual helped me instead of brushing my symptoms off. Very attentive and caring. I cannot recommend her enough!

Dr. Maffi, Bonnie was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. She took her time with me to know my concerns and explained everything so well, made me feel super comfortable through everything. I left feeling cared for and satisfied with my visit. I came to her and Mayo Clinic; as my previous and also amazing Gyno moved out of AZ. I Highly recommend her, super glad I found her.

This was my first visit to Mayo's Department of Gynecology. Dr. Maffi was very professional, and friendly. She took a great deal of time with me to discuss my concerns; I left feeling much better than when I arrived.

Dr. Maffi was excellent. She listened to all my concerns and was very thorough. She was very gentle and easy to talk to.

I sadly had the same experience as the other posts. She was very cold and almost made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about. She told me based off normal periods that my testosterone wouldn’t be low but yet my regular obgyn did a hormone test and it was below the lowest level and yet my periods were regular. She just shrugged her shoulds. It was also one of the most painful paps ive ever had. Very very cold woman. I left in utter shock on my experience.

I excused myself from my appointment with tears in my eyes. Her demeanor was cold and belittling. I contacted Mayo regarding the provider.
