We decided to switch practices for our toddler. We had just had a bad experience elsewhere. Our son saw Dr. Bjornsen recently for an illness. It was a completely different experience altogether. The office was helpful and Dr. Bjornsen was quickly responsive to followup questions after we had left. He was detailed and put our hearts at ease in a worrisome situation. Thank you!

Dr. Bjornsen saw my son for a shoulder injury. He was knowledgeable and thorough in examining my son and in explaining what was going on. He was also kind. We had a great experience.

Brent Bjornsen told me he needed a moment to speak to my teenage son alone in case he had questions about puberty he may be uncomfortable discussing in front of a parent. Unfortunately, I agreed to the request not knowing that Brent Bjornsen was lying to me. Instead of asking my son if he had questions, he took the private session as an opportunity to proselytize my son against having sex before marriage. There is no medical basis for not having pre-marital sex. This is a religious perspective and has no place in a medical office. Obviously, Brent Bjornsen knows this, otherwise he had no other reason to lie about what he intended to discuss in private with my son. Had he been honest about his intentions, I would not have permitted it. A complaint with the practice and the state licensing board has been filed.

We saw doctor Bjornsen in January, 2019. We were scheduled for a well check visit, a first one for our 10-year-old son at this practice and with this doctor. Previously, we lived in Delaware. Our old pediatrician treated any concern we had voiced during our health check visits as part of the “preventative evaluation and management medical visit.” Doctor Bjornsen charged for a well check visit and for a sick visit because we brought up a foot issue our son is having.

It was our first time coming to the office. Dr. Bjornsen spent a good amount of time with my son asking him all the appropriate questions for his age appropriate well exam. I am very happy with the doctor and his office staff.
