List of Byron Willis's Reviews
Staff is excellent and Dr. Byron Willis is as good as they come.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Where do I begin. This “Doctor” paralyzed my father. He was in great shape, walking, strong, healthy. We discovered an unfortunate diagnosis that a benign tumor was growing on my dad’s spinal cord. We were referred to Willis. Willis told my dad the surgery is no big deal and he will be up and walking in 3 days. My father has been paralyzed now for 3 years because of Willis. Willis did not care about my dad. He was just a number to him. His front desk staff never answer the phones. This whole office is a joke. If you are a new patient seeking this doctors help, RUN!!!!! Do not put your life in this mans hands. He should have his license taken away.
Very kind & knowledgeable.
It was a telephone visit, he explained everything in detail.
Very professional. To the point and confident. I like that.
He explained exactly what he was going to do very clearly
BYRON WILLIS/neurosurgeon ordered a post cervical spinal surgery myelogram/CT scan...was told it was "NORMAL" and needed no further treatment and my care was terminated. Found out Byron Willis noted he would no longer treat me because "patient was abusive to staff." (Showed up for an office visit and told if I didn't have an appointment and threatened by staff that if myself and my caregiver did not leave immediately they would call security to have us evicted in front of a full waiting room. We left without a word and had to go directly to a hospital for emergency care.) It took a year to find a second opinion by a University of Arizona professor of neurosurgery in Tuscon, AZ who stated the CT scan image was obscured by artifact from the spinal implant Byron Willis put in my cervical spine and recommended the implant Willis put in be removed and get an MRI to find out damage Willis did to my cervical spinal canal/cord. Willis doesn't treat his patient's post op complications
Dr Willis and associates fabricate documents to cover their own inadequacies and failures. They don't handle patients with postoperative complications and terminate their care in my case saying l needed no further care and l that I was " abusive to staff." But me and my partner were told l had no appointment when l showed up for a follow up appointment, was threatened in front of a full waiting room if we didn't leave they would call security to have us physically removed. Everyone was speechless as we were and left immediately.....we had to go to an ER at a hospital directly after leaving Dr Willis office to get emergency care.. When called to make a new appointment the staff just said, " You are never allowed in this office". With no explanation or notification.
The place is very nice and clean the doctor is very nice and professional
Dr Willis is certainly a good neurosurgeon

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
