Horrible! The surgery on my left hip took me almost a year to heal. The fractured femur healed but damage to muscle took a-lot longer to heal. Once I got in with new Ortho I got back on my feet. Literally! Please trust me when I say this guy is bad news. He’s rude! Uncaring! Just run!

Dr. Ott may be a hero when it comes to surgery but is horrible when it comes to a simple knees exam. I went to Dr. Ott for knee pain. They took ONE xray. He barely spent 15 minutes with me and looked totally bored and couldn't wait to leave., He told me I didn't have arthritis (which I learned later was incorrect) and couldn't seem to tell me what was the problem with my knees. He hemmed and hawed and sent me away with "if you still have pain in a couple months we can take another look". Really??? $419 for this??? I then sought out another doctor who was amazing!! Took several xrays (for less money than the one). Told me I did have arthritis. Told me what he thought what was causing the pain and sent me to weeks of physical therapy. BAM! My knee pain went away and have been great for MONTHS!! Total 180 from Ott. I had a mix up with my insurance and have been billed the full amount. I have another health issue that have racked up bills. I have paid Ott $239 of the $419 and said that's all I could afford plus I had proof that the other doctor accepted the Medicare rate for the exact visit and what I paid Ott was more than those Medicare prices. I asked to please accept what I paid since it was more than if I had been on Medicare (which I'm on now) when I came in for the visit. But they refuse to acknowledge my request and is threatening collections. To me, Dr. Ott is only interested in the patients that are big dollar signs (surgeries) for him and a patient like me was of no interest to him and dismissed me as fast as he could and now wants me to pay for the worst doctor visit I EVER had in my 65 yrs. Beware !!!

Dr. Ott is very collaborative. He is thorough in his assessment and in presenting therapeutic options. His conservative approach is always spot on. He has helped me restore to optimal function after numerous sports injuries without surgery when other doctors would gladly cut on me.

Time for my second hip replacement - Dr. Ott performed the surgery on my left hip nearly five years ago with fantastic results (why did I wait so long?) and now it's time to replace my right hip.

Dr. Ott is the best. He takes his time, makes sure you understand your options and was a FANTASTIC Surgeon. I highly recommend him. I just can't put into words how good he is. Unfortunately he is no longer doing surgeries, but he is still seeing patients. He has a network of Doctor's he works with and will refer you to one of them if you may need surgery. I highly recommend him and his referral's. Thank you Dr. Ott
