List of Desert View Counseling & Consulting's Reviews
Not a fan of a licensed counselor that knows the situation our family is in and how its not as easy to go to recommended places for more help. This person parent shammed me right in front of my daughter. I can tell that this person doesn't have kids and has never struggled financially while going through major trauma. I am tempted to file a complaint with the board, totally unprofessional and shouldn't be in this line of work.
When I started seeking out counseling I was very skeptic because there is a bad rep about therapy. I have to say from when I started to where I am now in just a few short months is a world of difference. I was down in the dumps and with such a supportive team to help boost me up and to help me love me. When they offered TMS I was skeptic of the whole process but having Nitta there with me day in day out and just showering me with confidence and her bubbling personality really helped me to finally see rays of sunlight from under my rain clouds. Life can cause hiccups, but it’s how you navigate through those hiccups that matters the most. Don’t let them keep you down just breathe and keep on going. Nitta has taught me that and so much more. Nancy has taught me that my past experiences have made me who I am today and that they do not define who I am anymore. Krystal has been there to listen and to learn how to forgive myself and others. If anyone is seeking an amazing support team I highly recommend coming to this practice. You walk in and you are welcomed like family and it’s truly a blessing to have started my journey here. I can’t wait to see where it takes me next. Thank you everyone at Desert View Counseling.
We had a great experience a year ago then our counselor left. We were referred to Eric V. All was good and my son really liked him. When our EAP was done Eric texted me back at night the price of a visit …past 9:00PM which was late and odd. I let him know I was calling EAP again and After that , it got worse! We were granted another EAP and texted Eric that the insurance had been reaching out to him w/no response Got one text from him stating he was at home snd would call them. Then nothing. . Literally no response from him from texts for appointment. I even called Nina to see if he was ok. Which she said he was. I sent two more text over a week apart and never had a response. I sent an email to Nina how disappointed we were as our son already had challenges and this didn’t help that his counselor disappeared. And no response from her either. We are done here.
This place is a complete cluster f. They keep billing me for another patients sessions after I have called and told them we have not been there since December of last year! They have no idea what they are doing. The counselor even texted me that my daughter was extremely depressed and had called her! She did not! WTH?! Don't unless you want all kinds of grief.
I do not recommend this office. I have been seeing Taylor Noble and unfortunately it has been an awful experience that has made me wary of doing therapy again. She consistently used my sessions to talk about her own life which left me feeling drained and dreading my appointments. It almost felt more like her therapy session than mine.During my intake session she asked me if I ever have suicidal thoughts. When I told her yes, she asked what I thought of specifically. After I told her she laughed in my face and said "that's a bad way to k*** yourself".On one occasion she was telling me about a type of therapy she does where she has her clients draw a picture. She went on to describe a client's picture and what it meant/etc . However, in my previous session with her we had done the drawing therapy...the picture she was explaining to me was mine but she didn't remember at all. Technically this would have broken confidentiality if she actually was explaining another client's session like she thought she was. There's plenty more I could put but I'll leave it at this. If you want someone who actually cares enough to give relevant advice and focus on you during YOUR session then do not go here.
Horrible staff, totally unprofessional and lazy. The therapist admitted to me she wasn't there for any other reason but for money. She also tried to tell me my problems instead of listening to me. Disgusting.
I'm not going to spend too much on this review. I have a lot to say but try to keep it to a minimum. First Kathy Haro is a horrible counselor. Do not go to her. She's got her own problems. Seems very angry and uncaring. She worked with my 11 year old and I literally heard her saying disparaging things about me to my own child! Second, Patrick Coulhan starts out nice... but he is too inexperienced and he isn't very organized. He mistakenly though my husband and I no call no showed. Not the case. We rescheduled. He didn't realize and didn't ever plug it in to his calendar. He calls and leaves this shitty message about how he needs to feed his family and it was just plain rude and unprofessional, when it was 100% his bad. Suffice to say, we never returned.
Beyond disappointed i scheduled with Nina and had this set up with Anikka. Brand new client and I'm being treated like I don't matter at all. I scheduled this appointment 1 1/2 months ago and my councilor text me to cancel. I called for over a week no callbacks, i texted no answers. I call the desk they just tell me to go through her and constantly get put on hold. I will give them 1 more chance but after that i am going to find somewhere else because this is just madness and unexcusable.
I did not feel like I was being heard. There was no encouragement. Some suggestions were unrelated to my personality and interests. I ended up felling drained, confused and rejected.
This practice accepts most insurers and was very professional. Lisa Bolden was a great listener, unbiased, and solution oriented. I wish that I could continue with the services but my husband and I moved a little too far.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
