One of the worst oncologists if you looking to meet with your oncologists once in six months u got your doctor if ure actually going though treatment expect to be treated by dr Northfeld’s nurses

Waste of time scheduled the appt two months ago and he didn’t show up, I never weite reviews but I think if a patient wants to know they should be aware they’ll never see him and their case will be handled with the nurses

If you’re looking for an oncologist that’s involve in your treatment dr Northfeld isn’t for you, you’ll be seeing the NP every three wks and meet the dr maybe once in six months if you’re lucky

When initially diagnosed I was scared, confused and absolutely clueless, I never had cancer how could I know what to expect or what to do. Initially, I went to an Oncologist that had a very old school approach to breast cancer treatment. She left me distraught with her methods far more confused. Then a friend of my Mother’s, who is a breast cancer survivor, directed me to Mayo, I was then blessed with Dr. Northfelt and his team. It was a whole new experience, I felt hope. He put my worries at ease, his methods are innovative and I really felt like everything would be alright, I was still afraid but, I felt I was in the right hands. Everything I needed was all at the same facility. My fears were finally calm and in perspective. I was still scared but, had a clear view of what was ahead. Now it is 5.5 years later, after my surgeries and treatments, I am still cancer free! Dr. Northfelt was truly amazing and my outcome would have been so devastating had I not been guided his direction. Thank you for everything you did for me and you do for everyone!

The patient will never see him even after scans, a NP will be your Dr. He promises to do things that never get done. Basically he is AWOL. I had to remind his office that I had scans due..fired him after all that.

My experience with Northfelt was full of medical mistakes, neglect, and unprofessional conduct. I am miraculously alive in spite of him. The only reason I am still alive today, is because another doctor at Mayo caught and worked tirelessly to correct Northfelt’s numerous missteps. Mayo is awesome! You should definitely go there if you can...but don’t trust your life to Northfelt. If another doctor hadn’t stepped in to save me from him, I would be dead.

Doctor Northfelt is truly simply the best,and he saved my life! He was my doctor at Eisenhowe Medical Center in Rancho Mirage,Ca. Dr. Northfelt is truly a doctor that has compassion for his patients,and very knowledgeable in Hemotology-Oncology. He is very knowledgeable in the most cutting edge treatments available. For my treatment Dr. Northfelt was a leader in a study of a drug called Rituxan which I was part of the study,now used to treat many types of Cancer. He also was collaborating with UCLA Oncology,and Dr. Gary Schiller head of Stem Cell Research which I was also part of a study. With all his knowledge,and the help of stem cell research,Cheotharapy,and radiation,I am 18 years in remission! Thank You Dr Northfelt for saving my life!
