Edward Rhee Md's Online Review Report Card

Very dismissive and uninterested. Horrible bedside manner, extremely condescending. Waste of our time. If I could give zero stars I would. This is unfortunate because other providers at PCH in particular have been concerned and kind. Our daughter has a chronic illness that affects the quality of her life everyday. I would not see Dr. Rhee again.

My daughter had fainted a couple of times and had some palpitations, so we visited Dr. Rhee. His first recommendation was to put a pacemaker in, which would have been a permanent solution. When we got a second opinion and took some further tests from a different doctor that had previously been affiliated with PCH, but was not anymore, he said that her condition wasn't as serious as we had been led to believe by Dr. Rhee, and that she would likely grow out of it. Please make sure that you always get a second opinion before agreeing to any surgery, especially for your kids.

Dr. Rhee has a terrible bed side manner. He told my son and I, there was nothing wrong with him meanwhile he requires a cardiac procedure to fix his heart problem. He is now under the care of a amazing Cardiac Electrophysiologist. I would not waste my time with this provider. My son left his office in tears and he does not cry.

Intelligent and completely incapable of normal human interaction. Probably does a good job when the patient is asleep, but I'd take an average cardiologist who can actually communicate any day.

Rhee seems to think that he knows everything and patient doesn't have to know anything. Rhee talks to himself in terms nobody else can understand and won't explain things in simpler terms. One person said Rhee basically 'saved' her son and I'm glad for them but that's an exception. Rhee once read report from pacemaker, walked in and said, 'Come back and see me in 6 months'. What about ' So how have you been feeling? Anything you want to talk about?' Another cardiologist took time to listen and tried to understand anything that was mentioned. Rhee has himself on a pedestal and thinks he knows it all and I would advise you avoid him. Notice how low his ratings are- little more than 3. Get another doctor

Dr Rhee has been my daughter's cardiologist since birth. He has seen her through every step, from breaking the news she was in heart failure at 6 days old to , surgery, and all her follow ups. He has put my worries at bay with his manner and concern. He even saw my son to make sure he didn't have a heart condition, during a routine athletic physical.

Met with Dr. Rhee to discuss an issue we are experiencing with our daughter and we found him to be extremely condescending, dismissive, and unhelpful. I found his attitude surprising considering most of the other doctors we have encountered at Phoenix Children's Hospital have been extremely caring. He minimized our issue by smirking and treated us as though we were wasting his time. When asked whether or not a particular treatment would be beneficial he responded, "that's up to you to decide." Our appoint wound up being a complete waste of time.
