List of Ernie Riffer Md's Reviews
So I went to doctor riffer for a pre-surgery medical examination I found everybody in the staff to be friendly and helpful and the lady that drew blood seem to know what she was doing and was very proficient Dr riffer was a nice man and I felt comfortable having him give me a pre-surgery examination
My experience with Dr Riffer has been all about getting to know each other. I get his methods and direction. He does listen and act on what I say. That is a rare trait in an MD as practiced as Dr Riffer. His personality comes through quickly and that is surprising to some patients. I have referred satisfied family & co-workers to Dr. Riffer's practice for years. I don't believe the negative reviews from bad patients. Patients aren't customers. Doctors don't work for you. You're not always right, and he's not cooking your dinner. It's an opinion. Take it or leave it. There are absolutely bad patients! Read the bad reviews and consider the sources. He is good at his practice and I'm going to be sad when he retires. I've been his patient almost 20 years. I am a Type 1 Diabetic and alive in my mid 50's with fingers & toes intact and eyesight as if I don't have diabetes. Riffer is a good doctor. He wont last forever so appreciate it while we have him available! Thank you.
I am immune compromised and have several serious internal medical conditions. This doctor never washed his hands after entering the room, he put his hands on my face and on my body after touching the door handle and other items in the room that were not sterile. He did not wear gloves!. This doctor chose to focus on an unrelated delivery from 8 years ago. My health conditions are not visible to the eye yet this doctor made me get out of my clothes and closely examined and touched the skin on my buttocks while making me stand. This doctor literally put his face within inches of my bare buttocks while I was standing and made me hold the gown up around my waist. This doctor did not wash his hands a single time and then he proceeded to touch recent biopsy sites on my legs without using gloves causing me pain and concern of infection. I just had biopsies taken by my dermatologist the same day; he pressed on the biopsy sites with his dirty hands and laughed when I cried out.
Great physician with en even greater staff. I have struggled to find a good PCP in this area and he is it. Thanks Dr. Riffer and team for being such a good, caring physician that gets to the point.
Very pleasant experience for my 90+ year old mom over the past 3 years. FOH staff welcoming and efficient Victoria PA returns call immediately with answers to any questions.
I have been to Dr. Riffer three times. In the three times I’ve visited him, he has shown me that he is sexist. Yes, that’s a strong accusation, but I really don’t have another explanation for the way he treats me. The only time I felt taken care of was the time my husband was with me- I would explain my symptoms and Dr. Riffer would ask my husband if what I said was true. I found that weird but I was really low energy so I was happy to not have to engage. The other two times, he did not listen to my symptoms at all. He interrupted me every time I spoke. I recently visited him with the following symptoms- fever, swollen lymph node (it looked like a golf ball in my arm pit), and intense stomach pain. I began to show him my underarm where you could really see the swollen lymph node and he agreed, it was extremely swollen. As he was feeling my lymph node, I winced. It was very tender and swollen, so it hurt as he was poking around. He LAUGHED AT ME and said “Oh stop, it can’t hurt that bad.” When I explained that it did hurt that bad, he told me I was wrong and there’s no way it hurt... because it was just razor burn. Yes, he clearly didn’t listen to my symptoms because how would you hear those symptoms and decide it’s razor burn? (I also mentioned to him that I haven’t shaved in years because I had laser hair removal.) I left feeling overwhelmed, disrespected, and dejected. A doctor’s job is to listen to their patients and help them feel better. Dr. Riffer has consistently made me feel worthless in his office. I have since visited another doctor and been diagnosed with a lymph node infection- NOT related to razor burn.
Horrible Doctor. Literally spent the entire visit typing information into his computer spent maybe 30 seconds looking at me and examining me. Had zero clue what to do about my issue and no ideas as to who to refer me too. The staff are rude and dismissive and couldn’t care less about their patients. Being new to the area I found myself late because the person that had given me the address to the location give me an incorrect address in because I was late they refused to see me when I address the issue of staff I later got a letter telling me I was no longer welcome back at their facility. All that because I was sick and begging for help. I cannot strongly recommend enough That you stay away from this doctor and his staff.
Not a caring physician. Did not help during visit. Office calls to collect payment that is not due. Office doesn't return phone messages all they care about is collecting $$. Save your time and find an office / Physician that care for their patients.
Excellent care, attitude and professionalism.
Great Physician

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
