I've worked with and known a handful of mental health providers throughout my life, and Matthew stands out in the best way. He's deeply passionate about helping people not just get by, but genuinely heal, grow, and learn to prioritize oneself more. What makes him different is how non-judgmental and open-minded he is. He creates a space where you feel safe to be real, even when things get messy. He has a way of gently shifting your perspective and helping you see things in a new light, which is incredibly powerful when you're feeling stuck. I can't recommend him enough.

Where to start; I found Matthew on psychology today and was hesitant because of the past providers I found on that website. I am very grateful I overlooked the stigma of terrible providers and gave Matthew a chance. I have been his patient for a little over 3 months and my life has traumatically changed. Being that he was a nurse before NP, he has extremely good bedside manners. I have always gone to doctors for my medication management and was skeptical on trying a NP but wow I’m so glad I did. Matthew is very attentive, he puts the work into things and doesn’t make you feel like a burden. I am safely switching my meds now and I can finally see a light at the end of this long tunnel. I’d recommend him a thousands times!

Dr. Laird allowed me to discuss my issues in a calm, safe environment and works extremely well with patients on the spectrum. I would recommend his practice to anyone looking for mental health services in the future.
