Dr. Labowitz is most helpful! She immediately addressed the issue rather than requiring a battery of tests to begin to deal with it. She was also understanding about delaying the main test needed until significant healing has occurred. The staff is efficient and on top of things. And a pleasant surprise was receiving a phone call with the results of a blood test, rather than having to check the patient portal.

Dr. Labowitz is very personable and attentive. Don’t be shy… tell her everything. I highly recommend her. Wish ALL my doctors were as nice.

While you will be forced to sign a paper that says that you have to cancel within 48 hours, or pay a fee. It's actually 48 hours from the day of your appointment, not the time. So if your appointment is at 4 pm and you call at 9 am it’s too late and your charged a fee. They certainly don't tell you that. They will charge you $50, and then refuse to reschedule you if you happen to be a professional with a job and cannot make the appointment in the middle of the day. Horrible staff.

My first appointment went very well. She asked all the right questions. Understands my problems and gave me great advice. She makes her patient feel comfortable. She took her time with me. Has great credentials and experience.

I waited months for an appointment. Seems she has too many patients to adequately see them in a timely manner. Unable to schedule with another physician within the group. Front office staff not friendly nor helpful. Anesthesiologist was unfriendly; had me sign permit with a red pen after he left..did not observe my signing nor did any nurse.

Dr. Labowitz was friendly and easy to talk to. I signed up for a colonoscopy with her. I trust that she will be competent and efficient.

Initial visit included my history and previous results from earlier colonoscopies. Thorough and pleasant. Colonoscopy Itself was on time and no complications. Staff friendly and efficient.

Warning: THIS PRACTICE BELIEVES THAT PATIENTS ARE THE PROPERTY OF ANY DOCTOR WITH WHOM THEY HAVE CONSULTED. I am a patient who is at high risk for colon cancer due to family history and a genetic mutation. I attempted to make an appointment with this practice as I am due for a colonoscopy. They asked me if I have seen another gastrointestinal dr. in Arizona. I had done a consultation with another doctor nearly two years prior and had declined to pursue treatment with her. No exam. No procedure. Just a consultation. But Dr. Labowitz's practice considers any patient who has done a consultation with another doctor, up to three years prior, to have "established care" and says that they don't "steal" other doctors' patients! The scheduler also said that if a patient declines to disclose a prior consultation and they "find out", they will cancel your procedure. Not kidding. This pratice isn't alone in this attack on patient autonomy, but know this before choosing them.

I am a patient at high risk for colon cancer. Know this: If you have consulted another gastroenterologist within 3 years prior, Dr. Labowitz' practice considers you the property of that doctor and may decline to treat you for that reason. They think you should return to that doctor for "continuity of care." even if they never treated you. So, patients have no right to consult with a doctor and then go elsewhere for treatment? And, this practice's scheduler goes so far as to threaten potential patients. She tells you that if you say you haven't consulted another doctor, and they "find out" that you did, they will cancel your procedure. Not kidding. This is not the only practice attempting this attack on patient autonomy, but this indefensible policy isn't about what is in your best interest as a patient. This is about doctors protecting turf and the politics of the medical community. At your expense!

Jodie Labowitz answered all my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed. She is very personable. I also liked the rest off the staff. I would highly recommend.
