Dr. Patel performed my surgery for my left Achilles rupture. He clearly explained my options to help me make a decision, the surgery details, and post surgery protocols which made me feel at ease. He also continues to check on me post surgery through the recovery process. I highly recommend Dr. Patel

Dr. Patel is a great surgeon and also a really amazing person. My husband has been experiencing pain in one of his calves for over two years and it felt like we were in an endless and frustrating cycle of tests, scans, physical therapy and new doctors with no answers. Dr. Patel was the first person who made us feel like he truly cared about my husband’s problem and worked with us for months to rule out scenarios and ultimately advise on the best surgery option for him. Every appointment was positive, we never felt like a number, and Dr. Patel was super patient and thoughtful. Throughout the entire process from meeting him to surgery recovery it has felt like he genuinely cares about his patients and his work. We are so grateful for his expertise and highly recommend him.

Had my patellar tendon repaired by Dr. Patel after rupturing it on vacation playing basketball. Was in pretty low spirits when I got to Phoenix but the entire team really took care of me; Dr. Patel helped explain the process in a way I could understand and assured me I had nothing to worry about. The entire procedure was as smooth as could be and post-op he checked in routinely to see how I was doing. I've had more than one person comment on how "beautiful" my scar is (not making this up) which isn't something I thought I'd ever hear, but definitely helps when you're recovering from your first major injury! Very happy with the work Dr. Patel did and will recommend him to anybody, but hopefully I never have to see him again, haha! And based on how good I feel three months out, it seems like I won't!

I can’t recommend Dr. Patel enough! I had a leg and nerve injury impacting my daily routine and other doctors struggled to identify the root cause, but Dr. Patel took the time to pinpoint the area. After surgery I’m thrilled to say the issue has been resolved and I’m back enjoying life!

Dr. Patel saw me after I saw a podiatrist and a different ortho, both of whom were struggling to figure out what to do about my grade IIb osteochondral lesion. My family was skeptical, as he is a younger surgeon, but I really appreciated the way he clearly explained my condition and my options. Dr. Patel and his PA both came up with a thorough operative plan, and saw me through the operation and months of recovery that came after. Dr. Patel did a wonderful job with the surgery, answered every single message I sent, and efficiently made appointments for every question I had. I am now back to running 3-4x a week, something that I didn't think was possible. You couldn't ask for a better surgeon and team.

Dr. Patel received me as a patient with a deep slashing injury to the top of my foot, 16 hours after an emergency room had sewn up my arteries and skin and advised that I see a podiatrist. He immediately had me hospitalized for tests overnight and operated to repair the severed tendons and muscles the next morning. He and his team oversaw the restoration of my ability to walk over the next six months, with a whole-health and caring approach that turned what could have been a life-altering injury into what is very much a success story. I could not recommend Dr. Patel, his team and the Mayo Clinic approach to health care any more than I do. They are my saviors. 10 stars, not five.
