I have never met with a doctor before who was so incredibly and demonstrably dismissive of the referring doctors opinion. (Which ultimately was accurate.). My Personal experience after two surgeries (because the first was unsuccessful) is very poor, at present. Simply put : you don’t see her the day of surgery, also a first for me. I expected a pre procedure run down, or at the very least a post procedure review … did not receive either. Am requesting transfer to another urologist at mayo for my continuing treatment. Incredible as it seems, the surgery having to be repeated is the least of my concerns with this doctors performance. For heavens sake, tell your patient what’s going to happen, and afterwards tell them how it went…. Don’t make them track down an answer.

Dr Stern is in need of some instruction as to patient communication. I literally had a stone removal surgery and I was left uninformed as to the results until I telephoned to inquire. How is this possible ? Every surgery I’ve had there was a consult prior to surgery and a review after the surgery. Not only did I not see this doctor before my surgery but I didn’t see her afterwards, not even to tell ...

Dr. Stern has been and continues to very cordially and professionally manage my urology symptoms. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful physician taking care of me.
