Dr. Wicklund has an AWFUL bedside manner. My expectations were extremely high since I was seeing a specialist at Barrow. However Dr. Wicklund was not able to explain previous medical notes in conjunction with her observations during a visit. Her only recommendation was to go back and seek assistance from neurologist who referred me to her. Don’t specialists at Barrow review ALL medical before taking on a case? If she didn’t think she could assist she should not have wasted myself or my families time or time away from work to see her. She was not empathetic and had could not give clear explanations for her reasoning. We left more confused then before our appointment. DO NOT see this doctor!!!!

After listening to symptoms and examination of all deficiencies that were noted all she can say is lack of sleep and therapy is needed. This is after other neurologist verified symptoms were neurological in origin. She is a specialist at barrow and she should not be there at all. She had no empathy or regards to issues. I do not recommend her to anyone.

Drove all the way to Gainesville for a less than 10 minute appointment. She was not helpful and not worth a 2.5 hr drive. If you want to see a doctor simply shrug and say how can I help you, though, maybe it’s worth a trip.

She spent an adequate amount of time with my husband. She was reassuring in the fact that surgery wasn't in the near future, but could occur if symptoms deteriorated. I'm glad she was thorough, but I'm also still concerned about my husbands prognosis.

During the initial intake immediately after arriving at Shands, Dr. Wicklund was extremely attentive and through. She took time to LISTEN when other were quick to dismiss.
