I have dealt with plenty of specialists at Phoenix Children’s Hospital due to the fact that I have two kiddos that were born micro premies. which comes with going to the doctor quite often. Every specialist I’ve met at PHC has been amazing. From neurosurgeons cardiologist urologist and now orthopedics. Dr. Belthur by far has been the worst doctor I have ever dealt with including the doctors I’ve seen for myself. He had no patience for my 4yr old son who was unfortunately having a meltdown due to a traumatic experience. When he asked me if my son had behavioral issues I explain to him the situation and told him that he normally does not act this way. I mentioned it was his first time having a melt down, I couldn’t even control it because I have never had this happen. During our appointment you could tell Dr belthur was annoyed with my son‘s behavior, he didn’t even bother to hide it. Weeks later I followed up with his neurologist and as she read his notes she mentioned that he had written down that my son had behavioral issues. Although that bothered me I went for our follow up appointment with an open mind. thinking maybe he was having a bad day and my son was acting bad. thankfully at our second appointment my son was in such a good mood. He cooperated and listen to all his instructions. Things took a quick turn and Dr. Belthur approach of talking to me like an idiot did not work. when I tried to ask a question, he continued to dismiss and ignore me. That was the last straw unfortunately I had to call him out and tell him he was being rude, disrespectful and dismissive. How he works with kids especially special needs kids, I do not understand. Once I left and Spoke with the front desk and they mentioned this was not the first time they here this. Part of me was glad to hear I wasn’t crazy for letting him get to me like that. But then I realize that unfortunately he treats other people this way. Do yourself a favor a find a different doctor he has no patience and clearly does not care what a parent thinks.

We had a very nice experience with Dr. Belthur today. He is very intelligent and very thorough. I had a list of questions and he answered all of them honestly and in a way that I could follow. If I didn’t understand something, he took the time to make sure I understood.Thank you for the great experience, Dr. Belthur.

Our daughter suffered a traumatic fall where she broke her elbow, ulna, and radius. She was worked as trauma patient and required emergency surgery, Dr. Belthur was amazing! He reconstructed her arm, his follow up care was perfection and his bedside and knowledge was incredible! This Doctor saved our daughter’s arm but also provided amazing follow up care and education for positive outcome recovery! We can not thank Dr. Belthur enough!!! Today we are three months recovery and our girl is cleared to play Volleyball!

Dr. Bethlur did a wonderful job helping my son recover from two brakes on the same arm. I would highly recommend Dr. Belthur and his office.

Dr Belthur is a fantastic surgeon. He is obviously well trained and knows what he is doing. I’m grateful for his skill and knowledge. Thanks Dr. B!

Prior to our appointment I read up on the assigned surgeon Dr Belthur. I wanted to get a feel what we were dealing with as my son was recently diagnosed with a rare bone disease called Blounts. Yes his accent is thick and you will need to pay attention when he’s speaking. Yes he is very to the point and stays on track when explaining the diagnoses and plan of action. I have no doubt that he know a 100% what he’s doing based on the time he took examining my son and explains everything. We are there to get the very best treatment and I’m confident that’s what we are getting. He was patient and kind to my son Cooper who has autism and ADHD. The point I’m making is, if you want the best, I believe he is. I did not find him rude at all like some of the other reviews stated.

Extraordinarily awful when it comes to bedside manor and being on time. Shortest time we’ve had to wait was 50 minutes and 25 then more in his actual office. He also need to use a translator which makes everything even more frustrating. Please don’t waste your time with him.

Dr. Belthur is one the BEST Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons in Arizona.

Worst Dr I have ever been to and worst bed side manners! He looked at my son for a few steps and said he was fine. I told him he was the first dr to ever say that and I live with him every day and I know he is not "fine". He said I didn't have a degree and he is the specialist and the other drs were not. He kept putting his degree above everyone else. He wouldnt pull up any past medical reports or xrays, he said the emergency room didnt know what they were talking about. Rudest Dr I have ever met and a huge waste of time! I will be getting a 2nd opinion. He made us feel like we were a big waste of his time! I couldnt even finish a sentence without him interupting me. He definitely needs to come back down from his high horse and stop acting like he is better than everyone out there and stop working with children. This dr is not a good representation of PCH and I am completely surprised he is working there and especially with children.

I had the previlige of working with Dr Belthur in the past and I feel hes a great surgeon . Takes excellent care of his patients. I learned a lot from him as an student. He is also a very good person at heart. He might have a direct and no nonsense approach but hes a guy with a plan and executes it to perfection. If I was one of his patients then I would feel safe that my child is in his hands .
