List of Paul E. Andrews's Reviews
There aren't enough rating stars to convey how pleased I am with the care and compassion I've received from Dr. Andrews over the past 9 years. Dr. Andrews has successfully treated my prostate and bladder cancers. He and the staff are amazing!
Dr Andrews was part of a team that removed my kidney and transplanted it into a friend. I had great conversations with him and he was top-notch.
Did a lot of research on the procedure, side effects, and surgeons prior to deciding on Dr. Andrews. Andrews is a Surgeon at the top of his field and I feel I got an outcome that reflects that. 1 week after my procedure the catheter came out and I had full function of my bladder. No incontinence at all, a bit more frequent urges to go, but that seems to lessen with every passing day. A few days later my wife got a little playful and I found that although a little weaker, I was still able to become interested. I have full confidence that with time I will have an equivalent lifestyle to the one I had prior to the operation. I strongly recommend him if you are in need of this procedure.
STAY AWAY! December 29, 2021 a prostatectomy was performed on me by Paul Andrews with an assist by Karan Arora. Stay away from Arora also. I was in such pain in the recovery room I was admitted into the hospital. During the surgery an artery or vein (they say they don't know which) was cut and not discovered until after the surgery. My hemoglobin went from 15 to 7. Bottomline the surgery was not performed well. Andrews is totally apathetic. I have zero control of my bladder and this surgery ruined my life. STAY AWAY.
Dr Andrews is the BEST. You can not find a better Doctor anywhere. From my first meeting I had total confidence in him.He removed my bladder stones trimmed my prostate and rid me of a prostate infection at 62. Now at a few months short of 70 My plumbing is better than when I was 40. He saved me from loosing my bladder function and cured me from a possible life of catheter use. God Bless Him and the incredible staff at Mayo.
Dr.Andrews is FABULOUS!! 5 years ago he removed My stones and trimmed My Prostate and restored My bladder I almost killed by foolishly waiting!!(JUST DUMB)! I was near 62 then and now at near 68 (july)! I am in SuperShape and just keep gettin better!! My flow is better than when I was 40!! I am able to lift in the gym, swim, and walk 12 miles or more 5x a week!! I smartly at 57 changed and went from 315lbs-173lbs! and have eaten extremely healthy these past 12 years! Mayo is the finest place to go. any problems in this area.....THIS IS THE MAN!!
Dr Andrews and the entire urology team provided excellent medical care and the Mayo experience was very fulfilling.
I have been traveling hundreds of miles every three months for nearly 10 years to be treated by Dr. Andrews. He is an amazing doctor with great knowledge and judgement. He or his staff are always available if I have a question or concern. I regularly recommend him specifically and the Mayo Clinic in Arizona generally to everyone I meet. Fantastic doctor.
Dr Andrews performed a prostate to my on me about 12,years ago. Within 15 minutes of my first consultation I was confident that my outcome would be excellent. He told me not to worry, just go home and come back in a couple of months for surgery. For the next couple of months I slept like a baby. The nerve sparing surgery left me with full control of my body functions. The AZ Mayo and Dr. Paul Andrews are an amazing combination.
prostate surgery-February 2015-simply put-"the best of the best". I wanted a top doctor and I got one.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
