Phoenix Orthopaedic Surgeons's Online Review Report Card

They completely helped me and the front desk lady was nice and the lobby was amazing and the Dr. who helped me which was a lady helped cast up my hand and was treated amazingly. Due to the injuries being in my hand. I can't under go surgery due to the bones being so small so the cast will have to do. I don't understand why they have a poor rating but I liked the place very much.

As I read in other reviews about how the receptionist has a terrible attitude, we can personally attest that she is definitely NOT a people person! Incredibly rude and short when speaking to you. She also LIED and said that our insurance needed a referral, mins after leaving we spoke to another Orthopedist (orthoazizona) who said we were welcome without one. Oddly enough we will be seeing them today (two days after making the call) unlike these jokers at Phoenix Orthopedic Surgeons who took a month to see us only to be rude. You should be ashamed of yourselves and have your staff vetted more properly.

referred by pcp to see dr gimbal instead i saw his pa dr. rueb!! this arrogant pompous ass!!!borderline physically abusive, after telling him how bad the pain has been he begins is exam when i said i couldn't bend over he pushes me over, side to side, not to mention how he treated me during the exam!!! not to mention he never explained a thing he was doing to me which scared me most!!in the end arrogantly informs me I have a hip labrum tear and that's not what he or Dr Gimbal do!!now because of the physical trauma i was crying and upset!!he has the nerve to tell me i need to see a psychiatrist and that i need meds and counseling!!! then says my problem is all in my back!!!! no its in my hip mri was positive for labrum tear!!! send back to pcp then was sent to banner osi for my spine after 4 months and 5 injections later to be told its not your maybe its the hip he refers me to another ass or hip specialist who appeared under the influence so in short 9 months no treatment I've been bedridden since February, and unable to walk or have any quality to my life!!!thanks a lot Dr.david rueb!!!! he should be banned and his license pulled!!!

The receptionist at my PCP's office recommended Dr. Gimel but I never got to see him. Instead they made an appointment with his PA, David Rueb. My PCP suggested I had an issue with my SI joint. The younger lady with dark hair at the front desk is quite rude. So I was already kinda bummed out. A assistant with arm tattoos called me back and took my vitals. He was really friendly, I wish I could remember his name. Finally David Rueb makes his way into the exam room. He immediately starts in on my x-ray, which BTW you "MUST" have before they'll even book you an appointment. He states there's nothing wrong with my back. I tell him my symptoms. And he immediately says it's sciatica. So first there's nothing wrong and now I have sciatica? Okay. I mention how my PCP suggested an MRI to possibly rule out SI joint and he says no. He assures me it's sciatica. And prescribed Naproxen and 3 weeks of physical therapy. I again ask if we could just have an MRI done just in case as I'm in serious pain and I don't really have sciatica symptoms. No again, and schedules another visit with him in 30 days. Well, come to find out he misdiagnosed me, just as my PCP suggested. I saw another ortho doctor who w/o question knew it was my SI joint and not sciatica. If Rueb had only set aside his ego and condescending attitude and ordered additional imaging I could've been on my way to recovery. When I called to cancel my second appointment the rude girl even asked why I was canceling. Don't worry about it! I don't know how Dr. Gimbal is but I do not recommend David Rueb. What a knucklehead!
