List of Primary Eye Care Center Of Ahwatukee's Reviews
I really appreciate the positive experience I had - staff were always friendly and courteous. I'm very happy with the services received. I especially want to thank Elizabeth who went above and beyond - she was so kind to go out of her way to help me - thank you! I highly recommend this place for your eye care needs.
I absolutely love this Drs office. The Dr is extremely knowledgeable and I really appreciate that he spends the time educating you. I would also like to point out that the staff here is very friendly and helpful. I left my last ophthalmologist due to their front staff alone. Therefore I am very pleased with the customer service and patient care that I have received here. It is obvious that they take pride in their work!
I wish I had paid attention to the reviews before scheduling my whole family here but they were the closest office on my vision plan. Took 3+ hours for a regular exam for one person. They double billed me and my insurance for a pair of glasses (yes I compared my insurance EOB with my receipt); now I've paid $500 out of pocket for a pair of glasses that are so poorly done I can't see out of them (they make my eyes cross) and will have to take somewhere else for lenses I can actually use. They also keep the swag for the designer glasses (like cases, tote bags, and cleaning cloths) and give you a cheap case branded with their business name. Aside from poor quality, Jenna Derubeis has abysmal bedside manner. During my child's visit I explained that he was colorblind but hadn't been formally tested or evaluated by an optometrist. She declined testing him so we could learn about his colorblindness. I asked if she would talk to him about it a little so he wouldn't feel insecure starting school; she said she likes to say "color deficient not colorblind" and offered nothing else. Such a letdown. At the very least, if you're going to be bad at your job you can try to be kind. Or fast. This place is the worst.
Long wait, a bit pricy but good service and quality. The main doctor is very good and considers what you want too.
if you want to spend over $200 dollars (after insurance) and STILL not be able to afford glasses or contacts, then this is your place. the doctors wouldn't even give me all the information I need so I can order glasses online. they also charged me to dilate my eyes after I told them not to because I couldn't afford it. I would have had more fun staying at home and throwing my money into the wind than I did visiting this place.
Be prepared to be here for at least 2 hours. 5 staff members that are in no hurry whatsoever, but are very excited to talk to each other loudly. Every single client waited well over 45 minutes to be seen while I was there. This place is about 10 years behind every other optometrist. Very poor customer service but I did get to hear about every staff members life for a couple hours and watch them try on glasses.
Dr Michael, Cassie, and others whose names I don’t recall, very professional and friendly service, thank you.
Dr Jenna and her staff are exceptional. They worked me in for a last-minute visit. Dr Jenna made me feel like the most important patient that she had. She took time to explain everything to me in a clear and concise manner. She called to relay some lab results. I missed the call and I called back and left a message. She called back after hours that same day to make sure to alleviate any concerns and stress that I was undergoing. I can’t thank her enough for the first class treatment that I received.
Both Dr. Michael Rubeis and Dr. Jenna DeRubeis have taken great care of three generations of our family. They provide excellent routine eye care using the latest technology, and always do a great job of explaining tests and results. The have also rescued us during a couple of urgent medical eye issues.
First time in today - Dr. Jenna was both thorough and knowledgeable! I feel like I know more about my eye health than I ever did before. She was able to assess my known issues immediately while making recommendations for key indicators of glaucoma that I had never known about. I went out and bought some sunglasses and will be taking steps to prevent this issue. I found their front desk team very friendly and accommodating as well. Jakeem and Jason were awesome to work with. Took my measurements, helped me with my frame adjustments and got me in and out better and faster than anywhere else I've experienced. Will be back!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
