My daughter was in horrible pain from her POTS and Dr. Arnold would not give her anything for the pain...but IV tylenol. He was very arrogant and made my husband and I feel like we were "druggies looking to score drugs for our daughter". He came in for about five minutes and did not return for almost two hours (i had to ask for him). He never offered any solution to our problem. He had zero compassion! Horrible experience! He is very unprofessional.

I just had this doctor yesterday. I thought he was awesome. I came in with so many different symptoms and totally unsure of what could be wrong. Especially with my family history and personal history. He really took the time to look into everything. I am very pleased with his service, and I think he was great. He ran every test he could to make sure nothing was severely wrong. He was patient, he listened, he did his job well. I think Mayo has a great staff.

What a disaster at the Mayo Clinic ER. I went there at the recommendation of my PCP. I was treated, actually mistreated, by ER physician Rick Arnold, MD. In my opinion he is incompetent. When I questioned him he became arrogant and had security sent to my room. I guess some doctors feel they are above explaining their treatment plan. Beware of the Mayo Clinic ER. He actually gave me medications to take that the pharmacist said were dangerous to take together. This is, in my opinion, a dangerous place especially if you have to deal with the incompetent "Dr." Rick Arnold. This, as it turns out, is the same "doctor" who treated my father when he was transported to the ER with heart attack symptoms at the request of his PCP. Arnold sent him home without a cardio consult and as it turns out he had two blockages in his heart in excess of 80% and was admitted days later by the cardiologist for surgery. I went to St. Joseph's Medical Center the next day and was treated with the dignity and respect that "Dr." Arnold proved incapable of providing.
