List of Serenity Mental Health Centers - Estrella's Reviews
Horrible company, only interested in selling you high cost TMS and Ketamine Treatments. Expect $1500 a day for 39 days. No interest in patient care.
I have been going to Serenity since last summer, almost a year. I agree with another reviewer, the way the practice is run makes me feel like patients are only seen as billing opportunities. Yesterday they threatened THE DAY BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT if I don't call them back by 4pm they would attempt to fill MY APPOINTMENT with another patient, and if they can not then they will charge me a no-show fee! Mind you this is the day before my appointment. There weren't even going to give me the chance to show up! They have always sent confirmation texts 1-2 days prior to appointments. I rarely confirm as I have a very busy schedule and can not have my phone on me at work. I schedule appointments 2-3 months in advance (in person), I do not miss appointments and if I need to change an appointment I call in advance. I have never had an issue before yesterday. I received 3 calls that had caller ID of "Sherry Dekeyser" (when I call the office the ID is Serenity Mental Health) and then the text described above. I happen to take a break and look at my phone. When I called them back I was told it is policy that they can fill my appointment and charge no show fee if I don't confirm the day prior. That is NOT the policy I signed. When I arrived in office for my appointment I reviewed all the patient signed forms as well as the office policies issued to patients. It says if you MISS an appointment they can charge a fee, but nothing about being charged and loosing an appointment the day prior for not confirming. I made the appointment, isn't that confirmation enough? I know I signed the no show policy for the DAY OF APPOINTMENT which is why I don't miss it. When I asked for that "no confirmation charge/cancel" policy in writing I was not given it. When I asked why I have never been told this policy before, or why it has never been applied to me before since I never confirm, I was told they are getting busier and now have a wait list so it is only enforced when a wait list exists. Again, not in writing. And how is their overbooking my problem? For a mental health center that claims to care about your well-being, it was very concerning that they call from a private number identifying as someone else, ask you to verify personal information, and when you dont they assert a secret policy you are never made aware of. Finally, that threat of a text (by 4pm or else we'll charge you....) was the last straw. That seems very unethical and today I was just a number to them. As great as my treating provider was, it is not worth how the company treats me. So if you do choose to go here, beware. Be available for those confirmation calls/text and be willing to give your information to an unknown caller, or else you will lose that appointment you've been waiting for as well as being charged $150.
I'm so grateful to Serenity for treating my anxiety. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, and they give me the resources I need to control my anxiety. I heartily endorse their services for treating anxiety.
This was my first visit, so I’d consider it an intake appt. Lilian was professional and spent at least 90 minutes with me. I’m looking forward to see what Serenity offers.
Every single person that i interact with from the receptionist to my provider is beyond friendly, lovely, and warm. They don't treat me as a body or customer, they treat me like a human being.
Lillian is absolutely amazing! She really takes her time to listen and consider the best course of action. Thank you Lillian!
I see a lot of bad reviews with Dr. Orumana and I didn’t have that experience. I felt like she was very thorough, and genuinely listened to me. I definitely feel like the questions are necessary and really felt like she was very professional. I definitely think some of these bad reviews are from people who don’t do counseling and are depending on medications to change everything. I really liked her and Ive been reluctant to even seek help due to judgement in the past. I don’t want a sensitive sappy provider patting me on the back. I want an educated health professional who is willing to ask the hard questions to get me where I need to be. I just really am glad I found this place and I had a 10/10 experience. Don’t let these reviews fool you, go have your own experience. Receptionists was nice too. I was so nervous it being my first time and there were “issues” with my insurance but she got it squared away within five minutes.
TMS therapy at Serenity has truly changed my life. The process was simple and non-invasive, and the positive shift in my mood has been remarkable. I'm incredibly grateful to the Serenity team for making this treatment available!!
The anxiety treatment at Serenity has been life-changing. The caring staff and evidence-based approach provided me with support every step of the way. I finally feel like I'm getting my life back, thanks to their effective treatment.
Very friendly, knowledgeable, and personalized care!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
